Take a week off, shirt designers. We're not accepting any submissions this week. This Derby belongs to the also-rans, the near-misses, the ones that coulda been contenders. We've nominated our favorite losers from Derbies #24 through #51 for our newly renamed Double-Take Derby. (That includes the Honorable Mentions from week #39 on.) Now it's up to you to give three lucky shirt designs a shot at a new life. Voting opens at noon Central on Friday, July 25 and runs through noon Thursday, July 31. Then we'll sell the top three vote-getters on August 1, 2, and 3. And if our very favorites still don't make it, well, it's our store. We might have to make other arrangements...
Designers: if you opted out of including your design in the Double-Take Derby and we missed it, let us know in a Tattle and we'll take it out of the running. If you didn't submit your original art with your first submission, send all art files to shirt@woot.com. Any design found for sale, having sold, or submitted to another site for voting will not be eligible for the Double-Take Derby and will be removed from consideration.
And if you're anxious for action, get an early start on Derby #54: The Old West. It won't open for submissions until August 1, so you've got time to come up with something worthy of our pioneer forefathers and foremothers.
