It’s a lovely day here in the South Seas, and we’re just waiting for the arrival of the fifteen men to get things underway. While we wait, we’re going to recap some of the scores from earlier today. The Pillage Biathlon quarterfinal qualifications proved to be very exciting as the young freebooter from Spain upset the privateer from London in the downhill Yo Ho Ho. And over at Synthetic Island Stadium, the always difficult Mapmaking finals pushed the semi-illiterate mass murderers to their absolute limits, leading to a narrow victory for America’s own Blackbeard in his sixth consecutive win. Don’t forget, later tonight we’ve got the finals of the Close Quarters Cannon Broadside, always a treat, and the semifinals of Parrot Choosing, which is new this year, replacing Baseball. We don’t have to tell you that the Cuban pirates weren’t happy with that decision at all. We’re going to take a short break now, but stay tuned, because we’ll be back with the start of Dead Man’s Chest as the IV Pirate Olympiad continues, all day long.
