Fun fact: the avocado is, in botanical terms, a berry!
Funner fact: the name “avocado” derived from an Aztec word for “testicle”! More funner fact: the avocado evolved so that its massive pit would emerge whole in the excrement of the giant ground sloth! Less fun fact: none of that has anything to do with this shirt!
We brought this classic back because: because once it’s sliced, there’s a limited amount of time before it begins to darken, and so we had to get it out there right away.
This shirt was designed by: Jason Cirillo of Robotube Games, drawing again on the Japanese influences that inspired Sun of Kabuki, the samurai-style topknot hairstyle he wears, and his wardrobe of plastic Harajuku miniskirts.
Wear this shirt: to Japan, and ask somebody if the text really says “Avocado Man”. That’s what we’ve been told, but how would we know?
Don’t wear this shirt: to the Caribbean island of St. Luciel, where “avocado man” is a grievous ethnic slur.
This shirt tells the world: “Hey avocado-for-brains, your face is the pits.”
We call this color: Guacamole Brown, the sex machine that’s hip to the chips that dip. Right on.
