There's just something I don't like about the picture, but I don't know what. Obviously it is well drawn like most of your stuff, but it just really puts me off for some reason.

10/28/09: 5.4 lbs

Yeah he is a bit disturbing somehow. Like he's from a 70's magazine ad for cologne or something. I think I should have gone with a more cartoony style. Also I was working on very little sleep and I think that loopy mindset worked it's way into the illustration.

Don't know about anyone else, but for me, I think it's the curved nose...and the way everything below it kinda sags down.

I had to look a picture of a real lion to figure it out:

I'm sure you were just trying to emphasize his older age and it's still a good illustration...and since it's doing well, I'd probably just leave it alone if I were you. lol

Yeah I was trying to give him the Lion equivalent of a 'weak chin'. I'll probably leave it as is, but it would definitely look less weird with less exaggerated features.

Ahaha! Very very nice. Love the lion's face. Also, the fur looks great, it really takes the form and defines the lighting. Well done. :]

This one is my favorite. I think it is just awesome with the comb over action.

I really liked this at first glance, but then I read the comments and the misshapen nose stuck out to me; now it went from a "must vote for, must buy" shirt to one that I'll probably pass on ...

Clever design, reminds me of an old-fashioned print, but a balding lion is not my thing.

The right kind of great... I like your style, Iris. Tgentry, I think you have the most clever design posted so far. There's a reason why you're so often in the fog. Great job!

Wow, this is disturbing. Its obviously drawn well. But soooo disturbing.

I'm giving up on designing for now... Enjoy my daughter's watercolor of an octopus.

No, the weird nose thing works, cause every person I know with a comb-over is a little weird and kinda socially inept. I mean the comb over isn't really making the baldness less obvious.

i really have to be honest, this does not look like a design that i would be particularly fond of having plastered on the front of my shirt.

Then I'd strongly advice you not to vote for it. And thanks for finally being honest with us.

I love it. The nose makes him even more appealing to me. I will buy it if given the chance.

Seems like today's shirt title could almost fit here, too. "Dandy Lion"

TG, he reminds me of the Disco-era lounge lizards, with their "ain't I cool? " pose. Pretty funny! I guess this would be hard to wear if you knew you were going to lose your hair.

Something about this one is just so epic. I like the others, too, but I'd probably buy this one. Sadly I can't vote because I'm trying to watch my monies. D:

something about the expression (looks sheepish to me) is throwing me off, but that combover is just too much.

Re: Lion's Pride

The effect of this picture: I just want to give that lion a big hug. Yes, with it's sheepish look, and down-turned nose, droopy eyes, and the single, mournfully lost strand of hair on the comb. gmv!

Re: Lion's Pride

It's a shame this one is not going to print, unless there is one helluva voting surge. I know tgentry has a lot of shirts that print, I just haven't liked them all. Then one that I really do like comes up and I won't get the chance to buy it. Hope it makes it into the fog and either that damn pirate or the elephant falls out.
