Re: Sublime In All

I don't know where you popped in from but you've entered the last three derby's and your color pallettes are hideous. your designs are sloppy. I think next time, instead of checking out the competition to try harder you should size it up to reconsider enterin.

... Really?

Sorry kiddo. It'll take a touch more than your distaste towards my style to make me flinch.

I'd suggest you get a hobby but I think we can all see you already have one. :-)

pft. what style? look at everyone else's stuff man. everyone else has such sharp or they do that dotty fade thing and your lines are all choppy and dumb. you should get a hobby.

I don't do sharp and clean and I don't do halftones.

I like doing it by hand. If you don't like that it's fine. You don't have to.

The color choices are similar to some Art Deco stuff, so that is a good start. I would suggest playing with placement and size a bit more. Also, there are some line quality issues that do arise, I do agree that the hand-drawn feel is nice, but steadying it a bit migtht help as well.

This is actually one of the more inventive submissions out there right now though.

Well thanks for advice. I dunno how else to approach placement though. lol. I suck at that stuff.

I LOVE this color palette, and I really dig the sketchy style.

I'm not sure about the content. It's very pretty, but a little odd....still, I like it better and better.

Now I'm going to go look at your past submissions.

I'm picky, I just don't always express it

I love the design and the colors (even though baby blue looks terrible on me). I also really like the feel of depth you get with the perspective. It's edgy and neat and I like the sketchy feel of the hand drawn. I hope you do more!

Re: Sublime In All

Well I'm still not winning but for my third entry... I'm hovering around 60th place. Which... the last two entries I put up were like 120th and 100th. So I'm climbing slowly per entry. I think within 4 more entries I'll be the winner. :-D
