Most of those you could even get from peppers, if your local megamart happens to stock lots of diverse bell pepper varieties.
as for the big bold yellows, turmeric would also be totally viable, though not all that amazingly tasty alone. And taro, again if you can find it, has a nice lavender-y shade, which wouldn't help for a strong purple, but a definite one anyway.
