After getting some good feedback on the original (from a couple different people), I decided to make some edits.

The dots behind the herbs on the music staff are in line with the vocals in that particular line of Simon&Garfunkel's song.

I hope you like this version more than the last!

I do like this one, but there was something about the simplicity of the original...

I agree, the original was nice and simple, but this should help make the tie-in easier when people see it at a glance. I tried to keep the simplicity in adding the music element by using only dots and no details.

Can you possibly explain the reference to me? I unfortunately am not too familiar with the topic. Is it a reference to Simon and Garfunkel in any way?

Sure, here's a link: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Parsley_Sage_Rosemary_and_Thyme
The notes in the background coincide with lyrics in the song.

I love this song so much. It's easily in my top ten of all time. Gotta admit, I wouldn't have expected to see it come up in a cooking derby, but I still feel obligated to like this shirt;)

I like this shirt for a lot of reasons, but I can't help wondering if it will survive rejection. I see music, plants, food...but I don't know if this stretches into "cooking."

Considering Woot is probably distracted by their server issues, I suspect they might not have time or brainpower to spend a lot of brain cells on rejections that are close to being on topic. So this might in fact be very safe.

LOVE.
Love the simplicity, love the reference, and I LOVE the brown shirt. I know many folks detest brown but I am in the minority that would like to see it more often.
Plus I look awesome in brown.
So there.

Um...yeah. Shirts are cool and stuff.

I like the visuals, and I love brown, but I'm not familiar with the song. Because of that maybe, I don't see the theme. I get that they're herbs, hence ingredients, but I don't see the act of cooking.

It's a really visually pleasing design, though! I like the color choices; the cool green vs the warm greens with the intense violet. Much respect for the designer!

thanks for the comments and votes!

Since these are extremely common cooking herbs, I felt the theme was clearly evident (like using salt or pepper)... certainly it's up to the powers that be to decide, but the confusion might be because of overlapping themes like harvest, BBQ, etc where some designs work for multiple themes.

I have a love/hate relationship with this song. It's a great song, but that line gets stuck in my head, which drives me crazy. Grr.

But that being said: I love this shirt! And one of the reasons I love it is because it's so recognizable, if subtle. I like that people would get the reference. The artwork is nice, too. And yeah, I'm another fan of brown, here. I look good in it, and don't have nearly as much brown clothing as I'd like.

Most amazing shirt ever!!! I really really want one... I love the earthy tones, too. Is it scratch and sniff? I can make it be so...

I cook with these herbs all the time... and only fresh, never dried. I love the flowers on the thyme. They're very identifiable. Great shirt!

If the 'notes' continue the way they look isn't that just scales?

This is awesome ... but ... the middle two notes are wrong.

Here's the actual notes:

A par
C sley
D sage
C rose
A mar
B y
G and
A thyme

Here's what's on the shirt:

A
C
D
D
C
G
A

I realize that a few notes are supposed to be obscured by the rosemary, but the shirt shows a second D, and there just isn’t one.

This is cool enough that I’m voting for it anyway, but if it prints, could the final art maybe be fixed?
