This is really really pretty, great job with the lighting! I actually had a firefly/navy shirt that I drew first, but it turned out too cutey-wutey so I did a different one. This is really good though, I loooove the colors. And I need a navy shirt!

Thanks! I spent the day coloring a WWII comic with a terribly drab color palette, so I figured that I needed to end my work day on a bright note. I'm pretty happy with how the colors came out.

Have you heard the song Firefly by Owl City? I listened to that song for a day straight, I swear. That's what prompted me to try a firefly pic, but in the end I just couldnt wrap it up. This just perfect though, I'm so happy to see a firefly-ish design up!

I think the design is MUCH improved from the original. The colors really help and the other changes are good too. Nice work!

I'm not going to lie, I've never even heard of Owl City. I just googled them and am listening to the song.

Thanks, I appreciate it. I'm so slammed with deadlines right now, I don't know what I was thinking on the first one. I took a nap, went out to dinner with my wife and then it all became clear to me.

heh, sometimes that happens... a litle time away, and then 'bam!'. Great job with it, I didn't really like the original, but this one looks super.

Btw, I saw you commented on my Flying Fish V.2, but I ended up resubmitting (changed the comp a little), so please check it out again!=)

I just noticed this one for the first time--this is such a VAST improvement on the sketch you posted in the pre-derby thread! The colors really bring it to life. And I love the moon. Well done!
