this shirt will be added to my steadily growing collection of Shirts About Marine Mammals.

Ok, I counted 10 puns in that writeup (because, obviously, I have too much time on my hands).
Anyone get more?

The masts are not the right heights compared to one another. The crow's nest is on the wrong mast. There's no reason for that sail to be flying away, but perhaps there're some porpoise topmen ready to secure it.

who cares!? it's a good design, that's all that matters.

I like this design because it looks great whether you're privy to the pun or not. Congrats Boots.

realbigkahuna

Real Big Kahuna say "darn fine shirt". Nothing like whales in a boat to start my day off on the right foot. Reminds me of a joke..."what's long, hard and has seamen in it...a submarine".

ressamac

Great job, Boots! And the writeup was one of the best ever.

You know, I wonder how many people bought both of those two specific shirts. They were only a week off of one another and many people gave comments regarding the second one that it was too similar, too soon.

I wrote the codeslaves email address, too, and never got an answer. I then emailed customer service, who forwarded my problem to shirt.woot, and I am still waiting for some response from them 4 days later. Different problem with their site, but very important to me.

Off topic, I know, but why no HMs yet for the Halloween derby? I haven't seen them this late before.

I was thinking about this too, and this is all speculation, but I decided maybe they weren't doing HMs for the Halloween derby since people aren't likely to vote for them in the Double-Take if it's way past Halloween. Or maybe they forgot. Or maybe the knew how outraged we'd be if they allowed the pumpkin shirt another chance to print.

If they were pirates would their pirate flag be sperm with a patch on?

Gross. although for the subject matter, I guess I can't really start drawing lines.

Sweet design Boots. In for one.

Geeze.

Of course whales make good seamen. The live in the ocean!

And furthermore, I see nothing dirty about a lad named Peter who happens to have lived in Nantucket, Or a Captain who's name happens to be Balzac, Or his first mate Chisholm (Which, for the record, I don't even get then pun in that one).

Find a high school or college age boy and ask.

Pun: Chisholm is pronounced "chizzum", in which the "ch-" is just a tongue flick away from "j-".

((bought mine first thing this morning!))

BootsBoots wrote:Chisholm sounds like "jism?" Or maybe it's perfectly innocuous. "Chisholm" could be the name of the writer's sister.

Whoops, didn't see that the explanation was already provided. Sigh, I guess that's why I should read the thread all the way through. ::Goldenthorn self-flagellates for laziness::

If I order one and find that it has a stain on it after it comes, can I send it back?

Buonvino

Quick question, everyone.

When does this shirt "expire" tonight for the $10 price, factoring in daylight savings time?

I'm on the east coast, and am wondering if I have the usual 1AM EST cutoff, or if I'm afforded another hour to run this by a few friends to see how many I need to end up buying.

Don't take any chances. Just buy three in the most likely sizes that shall please, and if you cannot disperse them well, trade/sell them on teetrade. (but xmas/hannukah/pagan yuletide celebration gifts are always awesome occasions for a bootsboots tee, so just BUY THREE ALREADY CUZ YOU ONLY HAVE 39 MINUTES LEFT, PERHAPS) (excuse me, I meant 49, but I'm hallow's eve drunk (let's be honest, me), so no maths tonight, and anyway, it might actually be an hour and 49, but do you REALLY WANT TO TAKE THE CHANCE AND CHANCE PAYING +$5 per tee? NO, I advise, UPGRADE TO A BUY NOW)(Oh, hells. I meant 1h49m OR 2h49m. Why am I on the computer and putting words into the public sphere?).

I have, at worst, 1hr & 40 mins from right now. Clocks go back tonight, not forward; we gain an hour.

edit...
nevermind, I see you were already rechecking the math through your head while I was typing. Don't worry, I've had a few, myself.

I noticed that just about no one bought three of these.

I guess all you parents aren't buying these for your kids. Gee, I wonder why...

Not that it isn't awesome, because it is, but this is probably the raunchiest shirt woot has sold...

pcslugster

Hey, I missed this shirt. I know that you can (sometimes?) buy a woot shirt after its day for $15. Where can I get this one?

Thanks in advance.

No, it's not.

the title, maybe. But the title, SURPRISE OF SURPRISES, is not on the shirt.

Here.

(You can always buy a shirt for $15 after its first day of sale--until it is reckoned--by going to the first post on the shirt's thread (the post is by "Wootbot") and clicking on the numbered link next to the phrase "Ongoing sale:")
