Thanks for the mostly kind words, folks! This shirt was a lot of fun to draw, even if it didn't have a robot (although that was my original idea). Mad, mad props to the folks in the forum who helped me out with the design on Thursday night, including Tgentry for suggesting a polar bear early on.

The appeal of flying penguins truly is remarkable, so I guess they should get some credit, too. Thanks, flying penguins!

Technically it would be Frequent Throwee Miles, but that doesn't have the same ring to it.

Because the jet pack hasn't been done several dozen times already.

This presentation simply works way better than a golden jetpack imprinted on the back of a shirt.

Why do polar bears not eat penguins?

Because polar bears live in the arctic and penguins live in the antarctic.

Since jetpack has technically been printed a PLETHORA of times, and should have been rejected, I'd argue that your standards of "not as good" are weak if this suffers from not being as original.

How does cut and paste change the design enough to not be rejected again? It is still the same. Wootstaffers, you're letting me down.

I will not get this shirt due to lack of originality...

You're so out in left field. The artist wasn't even aware of the game when he created it. As it stands, I hope there are games filled with bunnies so we can claim reference to all of them when the next ridiculous bunny shirt comes along.

It apparently only needs to be vaguely similar to a crappy flash game to count as a videogame rejection, so get working on one now, and we may never have to see one again.

Tsk tsk... should have paid for the $5 overnight. There's a reason the shipping is free, otherwise.

nisaarg wrote:Do you think I will finally get the Halloween Shirt I ordered a week before Halloween? Today ?

$5 overnight shipping is fast.

FREE shipping is slow. usually about 7-10 days.. if you look in your email, or in your account ( https://shirt.woot.com/Member/YourAccount.aspx ) you should be able to find the link to track your package. you will then know roughly when to expect it.

the slowness isnt really from Woot... its because FedEx ships it to your local post office, then the post office delivers it to your house. doing it this way is much cheaper, however, its a bit slower.

How did the penguins and bear get wood for the sign? How did they manage to put the sign together? How did they get paper for the sign? How did they get crayons/markers/pens to draw the sign? How did they learn that an object can be represented as a pictogram? How did they draw with no thumbs? HOW DID THEY LEARN THE CONCEPT OF BARTERING?! HOW DID THEY COME TO UNDERSTAND THAT THE SKY IS A PLACE AND THAT ONE COULD BE WITHIN THAT PLACE INSTEAD OF ON THE GROUND? HOW DID THEY BECOME SELF-AWARE? HOW DID THEY...... ?!?!?!?!?!?!!!

*has nervous breakdown and collapses*

Oh, wait... an image has come to me in my tortured faint. It tells me... it tells me that people will be asking where one can get this sold-out shirt. And that I should lead them to the Newfound Land of the Golden Button with a linking revelation... IT SHALL COME AGAIN!

IT SHALL COME AGAIN, FOR $15.

I agree with the sentiment that the geography isn't a big deal but as far as penguins fitting in colanders, some penguins are pretty large. Emperor penguins are almost 4' tall. So they could probably wear small colanders on their heads if they really wanted to. Some sort of adhesive would probably help. Although the oily feathers would be a problem there and they don't really have much in the way of chins so a strap might be difficult.... Well, emperor penguins could wear colanders which are fitted with some sort of (perhaps fictional) electrostatic charge-generating-device that creates a static-cling-like attraction between the helmet and the feathers.

Obviously.

Or maybe they used gorilla glue or superglue? That stuff will make anything stick together.
Though they're probably just some sort of adamantium-boned north pole chameleon bouncing penguin and they just want to be tossed to the south pole by the Icy Bear God of the North so they can visit, pillage, take over, and rule their generic south pole cousins? I mean, that's just logical. More so than... *sneers* your "reality-based" "static cling" "theory".
