I still like to think of it as a costume party gone punchy... and I laugh, and laugh, laugh -- 'cause honestly folks, the tin man punching anyone is pretty flippin' scary if you ask me.

Excellent use of color contrast. Love the implied symbolism. I don't do salt but I do crave this T. It's bound to turn a few heads and get even more of them scratched. I'd even buy one for my Doctor as a Christmas gift. Vote this one up, people. It richly deserves to get fogged !

the red really looks like some kind of snake instead of a branch, and the bubble looks like an eye. might have been too bright of a color for that piece. looks good, but maybe next time for my vote.

My first rejection
And the classic science class demo of a rose frozen in liquid nitrogen is considered to be off topic... I guess I should not have assumed that everyone would get the reference. I should have put a Dewar flask next to it with Warning: Liquid Nitrogen on the side or sumpin.

Maybe resubmit it with Nitrogen: It Freezes Stuff - Really
Sorry - rejection hurts - I know - I didn't read the rules until the 3rd entry I made! Hurts more when it's an apparent error. Maybe you should go buy that 3-pack of Riesling and drown your sorrows.

Sorry about the rejection. I just commented under the regular derby thread. I like the idea of saying Nitrogen: It freezes stuff....

very nice stuff. i had this exact idea and it would have looked very similar with the foam hand in the air. however, i have zero computer illustration programs or skills! i wouldn't have thought to put the one electron on the outside though. nice touch. GMV.

Great drawing and idea! But does this mean we can spoof Star Wars now? I really wish Woot staff was a little more vocal on what they were thinking in general. Even if it was a quick post saying "No worries guys, we've decided this is going to pass rejection"

Thanks... that's a little too much like saying I think he just didn't know what a cryogen was... don't want to piss off the rejectorator, right? :-)

I wish they could give a little bit more of an explanation when just off topic is not all that clear. I do still wish I had time to add a broken one, but my time is up for this derby. Thanx for the suggestion, tho!

I'm definitely gonna get this. I'd love to see a little caption or even thought box from C3PO that says "[Sn]ide Bastard" and maybe have a line crossing out the "ide" so it says "snide bastard" and "tin bastard".

I agree on both counts. A) This is an awesome shirt and B) we should know where the line is drawn with Star Wars shirts. I was under the impression they were completely off limits, parody or not. This definitely falls under parody, but many that have been rejected before did too. If I decide to do a Star Wars parody next week will it get rejected or no? Let's face it, a good Star Wars related shirt (and this is a rare good one) is going to be hard to beat. It would be nice to know if it's now fair game.
