Wait, is the part facing us the back of the hand (looks like the back of a left hand to me instead of the front of a right hand)? Because, if so, that gesture in the UK is pretty much the same as giving the middle finger in the US. Not exactly what I'd want on a shirt :-(

Re: Two feet one problem

ok so i made this shirt to announce the annoyance of getting your heels stepped on while wearing flip flops. Its positioned nicely on the back to inform followers which could be especially useful if you are wearing flip flops yourself! I picked baby blue because it looks like a summer color and who doesn't wear flip flops in the summer?! feedback, comments, votes all appreciated, thanks for looking!

Woot isnt about originality, interpretation of theme and artistic beauty. It is about what my wife and I will wear, and this is a shirt that she WILL wear, like all the other shirts that him, Seki, Deadfrog, and others make that are similar. She likes cute animals, and that is what she will buy.

Yes the hardcore posters here hate these type of shirts, but guess what, THEY SELL THE BEST!

You can hate all you want, but between my wife and I, we own over 30 Woot shirts, and about half of them are from Seki and Ramyb.

There are only two shirts in this whole derby that my wife or I would wear, even if they were free, and this is one of them (the other being Two Heroes).

Re: Twin Dragons

Damn, kid. Why in hells do you draw disgusting garbage like the dead bunnies when you could consistently be drawing things like this (even if the halftones are predictably you and therefore amusing more than awing)?

For some reason, this design reminds me of the film Electric Dragon 80,000V (that's a compliment).

I think this would make a great tshirt for my cousin. I'm actually... (oh, gods, I can't believe I'm saying this) I'm actually going to be voting for something of yours. This.

Seriously? Out of 181 shirts so far, you looked through every single entry? And of 181 shirts, even if they were ALL completely free, there are only TWO that you and your wife would wear? Sounds like you guys are a tad overly picky!

I mean, I guess it is one thing to make an argument that a certain type of shirt is what you like to spend your money on (which is understandable and relevant). I could completely understand that if you'd have just stopped right there with what you were saying. However, to go so far as to say you would only wear 2 out of 181 shirts entered (which you might not have even taken the time to look at) even if they were free, that's a little ridiculous, wouldn't you say?

Re: 2 Too Tall?

I do believe that OSHA would be all over this shirt for the painter yeti not wearing his safety helmet while construction work is being done very near his person. :D

I love this shirt cmdixon, and I rarely like yellow. I think it's just beyond adorable and I really like how you've made it just a really neat illustration with unusual characters that fits the theme, rather than picking a very common phrase or something similar (not that doing that is bad at all, it's just an expected route to follow).

Great work! : )

truffleshuffle wrote:I would just like to say in my defense, that I also felt guilty about this aspect...which I've already mentioned in a previous comment. I wasn't trying to think of a gimmick, I was trying to think of something original. Because I thought of an original way to portray basically one design, I would gladly accept prize money for only one design (regardless of whether 1 or both shirts printed) if it meant another derby artist could also be printed. If this DOES stay up in the fog to the end, I promise upon my life that I will contact the almighty powers of Woot directly with this request.

For me, the issue is that Woot has had the chance to take this sort of action before, and has neglected to. Woot has a very "hands off" policy to the derby which is the very source of most of the outcry and contempt that surfaces therein. I hope you don't feel it is a direct attack on you, truffle... you've got a lot of potential, I think, and hope you continue honing it... but the way the derby works, this concept won't really swing without hurting someone else. Woot will do nothing, voters will vote for both, the hotness and fog will be near impenetrable, and at the end we'll get two incredibly similar shirts, no matter what you may personally request.

Oh gosh! You guys need to spice up your lives and add some variety into the mix! It's like eating that grocery-bought frozen pizza night after night. Then one night, you go out and try one of those authentic Italian gourmet pizza and you love it, and then you realize you've been eating crud this whole time with those frozen pizzas. I suggest changing things up a bit, try something new. It won't hurt I tell yah.

I have come back to study this entry more than once. It's really underrated by woot votes. Creative use of colors. I'm sold on green ninjas on an orange shirt. I also appreciate the irony of ninjas adhering to any type of bracketed competition. I picture a room full of ninjas waiting in a room hoping to draw the bye. Anyways, good work. Keep the submissions coming.

Oh, no, Adder.
You are quite mistaken.

Note the rounded paws (yes, exactly--what paws?!), the lumpy, inaccurate anatomy (even for a cartoon), the completely random, unrealistic environment (no, pandas don't have mirrors in the forest, and they don't have forests in the zoo). No true artist would ever draw such pablum and present it as profundity.

Thus, this isn't a Horribly Done Panda.

No, indeed, this is a Horribly Done Panda Costume being modeled by a Furry in his Great Bamboo Forest Wild Themed Living Room.

... IT'S A TRAP!

Firstly, it's interesting to see something from you in one color. It's definitely different and gives some insight into how you conceptualize different designs based on color. I like the whole shape of the design - there's a lot to look at but it flows pretty nicely.

Secondly though..perhaps the most troubling part...does the guy wearing your design on a shirt have his sleeves rolled up in the pic? :d
