Tulips for the win! Thanks!

Thank you.
Re: Aloha
Aloha Everyone!
omnitarian wrote:I agree, it's weird that the canopy of the tree is the least textured item in this design. Definitely worth a retool+resub.
I agree too. I think it's awesome until your eyes reach the canopy. The trunk is so textured and the pot and the robot have a lot of character and then the canopy is just...there. It almost looks like someone else did the canopy part haha. I would add some cool leaves and branches and stuff (maybe since it's a robot tree, some robot parts too?) and re-sub. I will vote for it then for sure!
Drakxxx wrote:Hah, very cute, and just in time for Halloween! (Halloween is my favorite, just ask anyone.)
Drakxxx? Halloween? Would have never guessed it. Thanks for your support.
Re: Natural Patterns version 2 on cranberry
My brother just pointed out to me that I spelled "version" wrong on the detail pic...oops that's what happens when you homeschool, people. Take heed and stay in school!
Very clever and great colors. GMV.
Re: Farming, night shift
This is sick. I really hope this prints I haven't ordered anything in a long while.
Re: DON'T stop to smell the roses!
I like the figure. This made me laugh. The little plant on the left luring the bunny is the best haha
Re: Bonsai
Good job on the lighting.. this turned out very nice. voted!
Re: It's a Cactus with a Fez
Nice one! GMV

It is a climbing, coiling, and trailing vine native to southern Superspryteachu! I choose you! and southeast China. Its name comes from the Japanese name for the plant, クズ or 葛 (Kuzu?).
When a plant can grow up to half an inch an hour, you just get out of its way.
This is awesome. I don't know how long you've been submitting but I've only seen your stuff since dancing with death and it's all been great. Best new(?) artist in my opinion. To the fog!
Re: It's a Vine Line

Mario as a ten year old boy, and still he has a full grown mustache lol I like that fact that u took Mario's "actual" profession, that some people dont really know about, into consideration. love it <3

Wow, thanks!!! I've been around for about 6 months, I've participated in 26 derbies. It seems as though I am beating my old record about once a month. I would love a win; last week was so close!
Re: Harvest Moon
An old maple tree against a harvest moon.
Re: The Last Olive Branch
Awwwwwwwwwwww x 10000
Cute take on the subject!
Going to have to agree that the figures throw it off a little but great idea and awesome execution on the plants.
Re: Pottery Training
I liked this so much better on the dark background. Yellow is under used and does work with this design, but I couldn't were it. Great illustration none the less. GMV for quality and concept.
jasneko wrote:Bonsai. Thanks for all the pre-derby feedback everyone.(still wondering about the red one, if anyone is interested). Feedback and votes appreciated.
I don't like the red one. It's too choppy and doesn't flow well. This on the other hand is really beautiful. The shading is excellent and really blends the whole thing nicely.
Re: Spicy Italian Meatball
This is GOOD GMV
Re: Take to the Sky
The colors are AWESOME! GMV
hananoheiwa wrote:When a plant can grow up to half an inch an hour, you just get out of its way.
Yeah, no kidding! I based my design off a picture I saw of a cabin being totally devoured by this stuff. It was really fun to draw all the individual leaves.
lkackman, Of all the designs submitted so far, this one is my FAVORITE! Hopefully, it will make its way into the top 3!! Adam
This is beautiful! GMV, and I hope it prints!
