Re: Were-Pumpkin

Hi, you are amazingly awesome. If I had one critique it would be that it looks a little blocky on the shirt, but the art is fantastic. I also love how the pumpkin looks looks so dorky and happy at first, like he's trying his best to make friends with the mean pumpkin, but then he just eats him. Oh nos!

See, the problem isn't that it's cute (which is up for debate). The problem is the concept. It has none, really, other than to feature a doe-eyed kitty.

So we got ourselves a werewolf, mummy, vampire and frankenstein monster, but what the hell is the fifth thing. To me it looks like he is wearing a frankensten mask that is too big and it has all crumpled up in his face...

Not sure If i like the heather grey, change the bats to a heather grey and the shirt to a black?

I dunno. The words remind me of many a childhood pumpkin carving.

Splendid, wonderfully dark work. Your designs routinely show how to convey something really funny in a simple manner.

Exactly. You can also google 'kitten in pumpkin' and find tons of shirts already out there with a simple cat in a jack o' lantern as well.

The art is amazing but I am not a fan of the paneling. If there was a way to integrate the dead space in between a little better while still delineating the frames I think that would improve the design greatly.

The concept of the design is that the viewer carved out a pumpkin and is about to put a candle inside when it finds that a cute little kitty has made its home in it already. The kitty implored the viewer to not chase it out. The viewer is tormented - should he or she remove the kitty, the kitty will be homeless and very sad and also it would be a much less cute picture. But on the other hand, if the viewer relents, the effort that went into the carving is wasted - the viewer would have to purchase and carve another pumpkin. Furthermore, the kitty would likely be just as happy in a pumpkin that had not been painstakingly carved out. Unfortunately, the kitty has claimed the pumpkin and a substitute pumpkin will not do. This debate may drive the viewer into madness.

Hahaha... Now all I'm seeing is how bad this placement will be for girls wearing this shirt. With the pickle looking like an angry penis.

A kitty with pumpkin attachment issues...
But you're right. It's not as clever as it could be, so maybe it's the simplicity and the colors that draw me to it. It is what it is. I'm just not one to get down on artists for their drawings, I'd rather be supportive on the designs I like and ignore the ones I don't.
On the other hand, I respect other's opinions and I understand when people feel they need to speak up against a design that they don't think deserves a win. I just figured I'd offer up a compliment because I'm nice like that! I'm sure I'll catch a lot of flak for that too, but oh well.

Anyway I love the count and I love you for making this shirt. Hope it won't get booted!

That's not a concept because it's not in the design. This is one thing you and ramy miss quite a bit. When your shirt has a concept that means that anyone should be able to see it without reading the title or some bs justification you're trying to present to excuse the fact that this is a direct lift of the tons of "cats in jack-o-lantern" shirts. It also means that most if not all should be able to see the concept themselves.

In the spirit of halloween, I'll look into my crystal ball and tell your future..........

I see a large red stamp. It says......rejected. I am also getting a strong feeling that similar shirts exist, but I know not why.

It appears to me, on second viewing, that the dog is pretending to be in costume, having recently eaten a little witch. Or perhaps the dog is just waiting politely for them to finish this trick/treat exchange.

Re: Trick or Treat Terror

Wow........You've reached a new low. I didn't think you had it in you. We have the same tired bunny dressed up in a costume. The same cat you've put into at least 5 designs. The same dog is back but he now is grisly and has a beard for some reason (possibly from breathing all that steampunk). On top of all of this, you stick "the jungle within" in the background. I suppose it's technically on topic but this really deserves a "No, just no" rejection.
