It's fairly cute. Interesting idea to flip the worlds of air and water.

Did the orange border go all the way around the top in the derby entry? This is also the first time I've noticed the balloon has halftones too.

The sky glows orange, the fishes are (partially) out of the water, and as a matter of fact these two don't even have gills to breathe with underwater.

Why do I doubt these two creatures are "fishes"?

I think you really knocked this one out of the park. I love the colors and illustration, and most importantly, the subtle sadness I get when I look at it.
