neuropsychosocial wrote:I really like this shirt as well; I colors are fantastic and I think it reads well for anyone familiar with the underlying joke. I know it's too late, but FWIW, I find the "not really Coke classic, promise!" soda cans visually very distracting. The other colors in the shirt are in a similar non-primary color family, and the red (to me) is a visual beacon: my eyes go straight to it. Plus, it's clearly intended to represent a specific soda and I think that detracts from the joke; it certainly took me longer to look for the joke because my brain was decoding/making sense of the can first. I'm not sure if anyone has studied how long the average person looks at a t-shirt being worn by another person, but because of where the design prints on women's shirts, my experience has been that a design needs to be readable instantly or people don't "get" it, because we're all trained not to stare at a woman's chest.

hahah I had so much fun with your comment on staring at women's chest hahaha Honestly, I didn't thought the coke could distract...Y just drew those cans and some pizza (in the final design) just because that's what I usually drink and eat when playing RISK, but I understand they can distract....you know... when you spend many hours with a design..in the end you don't see those details, so thanks for noticing! And thank you all who voted for this design I really appreciate it cause it's probably the design I've enjoyed the most when doing it :D

I love this one. The simple colors/patterns and the cute bees.

The "problem" (too strong a word) I have with it, is that it's really close to Catan but a bit off. At first I thought it was just a play on bees playing some hex-map based game (which is cool), but then I quickly realized it's supposed to be Catan. But where's the robber!? And shouldn't at least some of those roads be connected? Minor quibble, but connecting a couple road segments and blocking one of the hexes would put it over the top for me.

Title suggestion: "even workers gotta play"

The fact that the playing-pieces are wee tiny tee-shirts is just hilarious.

Well played indeed.

I'm very disappointed not to find this design in the derby. Please say it will be available somewhere (other that teeturtle) at some point. I know people that would give a kidney for this shirt, myself included. (well, maybe a pancreas...just sayin', but still...)

I have been trying to vote for "Settler Cats" since it was posted, but all it shows is "Take it back". Am I doing something wrong or is the system for this shirt messed up? It is an adorable design but it has no votes. Seems amiss. Thanks, Jayne

If you see "Take it back" that means you have already voted for the shirt. "Settler Cats" is currently "in the fog" which means that it is one of the 9 highest ranked shirts. You should just see a question mark, instead of a vote total.
