Re: Breakfast at Sith-anny's (Outer Space)
"Breakfast at Sith-anny's" (Outer Space Derby)
AKA "Not a morning person"
This Star Wars parody shirt spoofs breakfast time in the dark lord's household. How does he actually eat? Probably not by force-choking himself some delicious orange juice. I guess he sips nutrients from an evil, space juice box through his face grill... or something. -_^
Here's a detail of the shading effects (no gradients, all chunky halftones):
Check out a big version here.
This is six colors on a blue shirt.
Thanks for looking! If you like this design please vote. ^__^
Re: #64: Pets - The fantasy of the goldfish
Poor goldfish stuck in a bowl. If only whitecapped freshwater would sweep it away, and they could leap out and be free!
Thanks no1 for the pointers earlier!
Now you've done it you walked in on mama bear and she is SO not pleased. Something else coming a little later this week.
Re: Smoke Machine, Suckers! (Mystery)
"Smoke machine, suckers!" (Mystery Derby)
"It started as a joke. Ben asked if we were going too far and when that guy is your moral compass you have to stop and think, but we'd already hired the smoke machine.
Six years later and yes, things may have gotten out of hand, a lot of people have died, but we think you'll all look back on this someday and laugh.
Ha ha ha! I'm laughing right now!
What? Guys? Too soon?"
Is this a super secret ending or a scene from the Alternative-Alternative Universe in the Flash Side-the-other-ways? I'm lost.
Here's a close-up detail:

This was an entry had wanted to do for the Earth Day derby, but time just wouldn't allow me to put the effort into it that I really wanted. I wanted this to be extra nice, so thankfully Woot gave us this theme, and a little more time to work with
The concept here was that this little mouse's home forrest was burnt down. For a very long time there was no life and he was alone. Then a tiny miracle happened, and though the mouse was small, he wanted to guard the newborn sprout with his own life.
Sappy, I know...but this is what I had thought of
Also, I tried a new style here, one that I'm not quite used to. I need a little practice, but I really had fun doing it. I hope you enjoy it
This is a collab between me and my friend, Leon Felipe. I hope you enjoy it as we do.
This is cool. I don't know what's with you and flying dinosaurs (all dinos go to heaven...) but I like it.
Re: #118 Visual Puns: Bear's Waldo?
Inspired by the intricate drawings I loved to study as a kid by Martin Handford, this design pits Waldo in a crowd of bears! As a bonus, each bear is a pun in itself and the design contains over 50 of them. A full list of them is below as well as some detail images and a link to the full composition. Can you spot them all?

You got a "C" on your report card? That's just great, honey! Average is OK with us. Here you go, wear this shirt to show off your amazing accomplishment.
Re: #64: Pets - Disapproving Rabbits
Weird... I resubmitted 3 times, but the thumbnail doesn't show up when it posts... strange. I had to paste it in...
This was a requested shirt by JesseBYAH some time ago after the vintage derby...
"Hey! Since you did a seal of approval, please do a dissaproving rabbit: http://www.disapprovingrabbits.com
"Bunny of dissaproval" perhaps? Haha I couldnt resist, i have two bunnies, and they ALWAYS dissaprove. Its the dardest thing"Bunny of dissaproval" perhaps?"
I made the design and there wasn't really a derby it fit until now (yay!) and here it is!
Re: Imaginational Symbols: Live in Mediocrity
Derby #45 Imaginational Symbols: "Live in Mediocrity"
The Derby just started and I want it now. This is awesome. The orange is just icing on the cake. My favorite part is the jawa spoon. Good job on sneaking in great references. The bowl was clever too, but the Jawa wins it for me. Good Luck!
Re: Derby #4 Maps
"hic sunt dracones"
Earlier cartographers used the Latin phrase "hic sunt dracones", i.e., "the dragons are here", or "there are dragons here", to denote dangerous or unexplored territories, in imitation of the infrequent medieval practice of putting sea serpents and other mythological creatures in blank areas of maps.
Re: Sherlock Webb
i am guessing mystery or literary mashup derby. you need the derby name in your title.
Re: 'Round About Midnight (#33 lyrics illustrated)
Inspired by Miles Davis and The Cat and the Fiddle.
Larger image to come.
A Hard Winter
I hope you like it!
Re: Derby #92 Steampunk: Rana roboticus
This is wonderful. Now if only it was a cat, it would look just like my twelfth grade anatomy class did.
Except for the gears, of course.
This is pretty wonderful, it almost has a classic comics derby feel to it too. Great lines and attention to detail. GMV!
Entry 1 of 2 this week.
I had this idea months ago and FINALLY had a chance to do it. I'm pretty happy with the way it turned out. Thanks to all that helped in the forums. I'm glad I added the gray into the kites. It helped unify the design.
Re: Fake Me Out to the Ballgame: Thumb Wrestling
From the Fake me out to the ballgame derby. 1992 regional thumb wrestling champion. You can tell everyone you lost in the final round at state finals to some freak with metal thumbs.
just. want. now.
Re: Derby 69: Miniature Worlds- Amoeba Erotica
Amoeba reproduce by budding and fission. Erotica can be defined as material to "set the mood." This examines the possibilities of creating erotica for an amoeboid type of creature.
The idea stemmed from a doodle I once made (in a high school biology class) that I entitled "Porno for Prokaryotes" but in all honesty, prokaryotes are not as pretty as amoeba.
In collaboration with Mr. CrescentDebris, the Terrible Sanity of Edgar Allan Poe.
Thanks in advance guys.
I was going to call this "I, Ribbit" but WidowFrog talked me down.
Re: Madness: Terrible Sanity
Poe is back.
And he isn't happy.
GO POE GO! KILL NEVERMORE!
re: Derby #72 - Book Titles Re-Interpreted
Done before but not as crunchy.
I had start this design from Derby #142: Classic Literature Mashup, but I didn't get a chance to submit. Thanks for a déjà vu, I'm able to see it again. Please vote or leave any comments. thanks stellardig

Re: Derby 125:Second Law of Robirdics:Protect the nest
this robot was in a battle. a thousand years ago.
damaged. The robot's side pulled out of the conflict, leaving their broken gallivanting alpacas on the battlefield. at that point, when the robot had been rebooted but before the rest of him was repaired, the repair gallivanting alpacas were called back to their ships, leaving him and hundreds more littering the planet. The other side found the planet ugly, with all the damage, and decided to abandon it themselves, leaving the field to broken down gallivanting alpacas and carrion birds, as well as leetle robins. a thousand years later, the repaired gallivanting alpacas are cutting grass, while the rest of them follow thier laws and protect the birdies.
Re: #78: Winter
This is too cruel. *sniff*
Why didn't they just make him lie alot and chop off his nose repeatedly?
