Time again for another march toward t-shirt doom! Discuss this week's life-or-death struggle for sales supremacy as chronicled on the Reckoning page all week long.

Here's how the Reckoning week runs now: every Tuesday at midnight, we retire the previous week's lowest-selling shirts and launch this here discussion thread. Tuesday around noon we'll post the all-new, all-early Reckoning Recon. On Friday, we'll juice demand and prime the pump with a little weekend reminder post. Finally, on the following Monday, the Day of Reckoning post sounds the last call for the Reckoned shirts. All of those posts will be linked below. Monday night (or Tuesday morning), it starts all over again. The Reckoning, she is a hungry beast...

I'm not normally up at this point in the procedings, but I consumed too much Diet Mountain Dew on my 1st real day off of Spring Break...OOPS. A very commercially successful bunch of shirts debuted last week. My tastes must be weird - I bought the current #1 shirt and the two shirts in the cellar - go figure.

Here are the list of shirt colors still on AA:

Royal Blue
Olive Green
White
Lemon yellow
Cranberry
Baby Blue
Silver

I am surprised red vanished so quickly since the last shirt, Illusions only sold 3600 copies.

I have an inkling that woot is getting tired of issuing refunds for shirts that were bought on AA but arrived as Anvil so they are keeping any AA they have a low quantity of for in-house shirts and moving everything over to Anvil so they do not need 8 different size charts as well.

Based on that theory I expect Royal Blue and Silver to be the next colors to switch in the near future.

Pick up The Bird and The Binge on AA while they're still around!

I also seem to be in the group that purchased the shirts in the top and bottom spots. I bought Bazinga, Fire and Ice, and Air Quoth, and my personal favorite right now is Critical Hit, which is also near the bottom. Here's hoping for a rebound!

I bought Illusions for my husband, and I feel like red is one of the "softer" colors as far as texture goes... I love it! I also bought us both "Making Bread" a couple weeks ago and thought the same things about how nice the material was!

i have the same feeling about the cranberry shirts. i wear my "Lifetime Achievement Award" tee all the time, because it's so soft and comfortable. i try to space out the wearings, so i don't wear it out.

Wouldn't it technically be more like a 3/8 chance (37.9%, the be exact)? On the first day, the odds of winning are 1/9 (11.1%), on the second day, 1/8 (12.5%), and on the third day 1/7 (14.3%). Taking the sum of the odds gives 37.9%. So his odds are slightly better!

And no, I'm not sure what the point of that math geekiness was.

Actually, no. Because they are not three independent events. They are a single event, whose results are announced over 3 days. Were the winner announced, then a new race for 2 place held, etc. you'd be correct.

But if we're going to get technical, he does have a better than 3/9 chance because we can assume that his mouse shirt is not currently in 9th place, based on the fact that shirts have moved from 10th place into in the fog.

Yeah, I realized that after I wrote my reply. Since the determination of 1st, 2nd and 3rd is made prior to the announcement, there is no influence of one event on the other.

And yes, I agree with your statement about him not being in 9th place due to the movement around the fog.

Darn you, statistics!

Ah, the days of sammich-lovin' zombies, un-stealthy ninjas, and accident-prone space-time continuum devices. A time after an Imposter finally fell, but before a little mouse would do some dimension-bending right into our hearts. A time when $10 US-made t-shirts were taken as a given.

I miss those days.

That gets me man. It gets me deep.

Yes.

But if Xenophile had not met an untimely death, this Reckoning could have done down in history.

I mourn for the epic poems, symphonies, and eventual Andrew Lloyd Weber productions that will not be written to celebrate the accomplishments of Reckoning #244.

Those were old friends throughout 2011. I tear up a little every time I see those empty spots in the reckoning. I'm a sentimental coot.

Assuming both Fire and Ice and Air Quoth make it out, what two shirts will fall in their place? My early money is on Curiosity and After All This Time, both of which have suffered large drops (due to their loss of debut-week sales) and are not selling very well so far this week. Lucky At Last also isn't selling very well, but it's a Ramy shirt so I expect it to survive the week. The coffee and the portal may end up duking it out for the last safe spot.

Fire and Ice and the Quoting Corvid are making a charge as predicted by other folks in the thread - maybe we will see all 7 foal5 get out this week

It's impossible for that to happen, as there's only 6 of them this week.

I miss seeing the naked cupcake even more ...

If not this week, I see next week as the last for Lucky at Last; I never saw it as just a shirt for St. Patrick's Day, but by some of the comments, others did, hence the big drop in sales these two weeks. FWIW, this is NOT a shirt in which I'll be first and last on, but Woot's the bigger blame in this.

Folks wanting their Ramy fix have somewhere else to buy them now anyways.

Site doesn't want to function for me. Also, if it's his own site, I wonder what it means for his relationship with Woot. Continued submissions & derby wins, or does this spell the end?

Here are the bottom 7 places by Real Time DSR for the last 3 days.
Lucky at last
They’re too Short
Curiosity
Hang In There
Nyan's Dream
Critical Hit

I really want Hang in There to make it, but it's going to need a HUGE (20-30 sales) boost to pull out. Fortunately it's the youngest of that batch, so sales go farther for it.

Wow, a Ramy only site that uses AA shirts too? Not a fan of all the turbungiun designs but if ones like tyger show up I might end up there.

Decisions have consequences woot.

Per the FAQ:

Q: What type of shirts do you print on?

A: All shirts are printed on 100% ringspun cotton, on great brands like American Apparel, Next Level, and Bella.

If you're wondering how I came to knowing the site, feel free to bla- er, credit JumboWoot.
