Their music is too hard to play. The timing just jumps all over the place. 4/4 3/4 8/4 and ∞/∞ ??? I never had to play infinity/infinity time back in Hill Valley High School Band.

I hope it doesn't take as long for them to get into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame as it did Rush.

Hey, "Flux Ambassadors" makes about as much sense as "flux capacitors". The BTTF trilogy has some of my favorite bad movie science of all time. Like that flux capacitor thingy.

It's been ages since I watched this trilogy but I'm guessing/hoping the concert tour dates and perhaps even their order have some significance as related to the movies.

starting in the left column, moving down then over to the right, and moving down, it's every Departure/
Destination Date in order

This is definitely an instabuy! Thank you oakenspirit!

I was going to ask why the tour dates aren't in chronological order, but I see they're in the order seen in the trilogy.

Attention to detail FTW!

Thanks again!

Left column to right column its the (main) time jumps of the Delorian

BTTF
Starts on 10-26-1985 (Or you could count this as the 1 minute jump Einstein takes)
Jumps to 11-5-55
Stays til storm on 11-12-55
Goes back to '85

BTTF 2
Jumps to 10-21-2015 (C'mon hoverboards!)
Goes back to Biff's 1985
Back again to 11-12-55
Lightning strike to 1-1-1885

BTTF 3
70 year hiatus, then to 9-2-1885
Back to regular 1985

(Omits the 2 jumps Biff took when he stole the Delorian in 2015.)

So torn...on one hand, I really think the design only works as a back print.

On the other hand, I JUST educated my niece by watching these movies with her (she didn't even know what they were about! kids these days...)

Maybe one day WOOT will see the light and offer it as a hoodie, so the print will be on the back, with just the shaded 'flux' logo on the front breast.

Continuity problem, Marty went to 1885 from 1955, not 1985.

Sadly that ONE error is enough for me to not buy this shirt, and I was about to pull the trigger too.

I don't know about you, but I see 11-12-1955 followed by 09-02-1885, which is correct.

You don't see the same image I see then, I see 10-26-1985 > 09-02-1885. The line above is 11-12-1955 > 01-01-1885.

I can understand the confusion, but these are the times the car actually traveled.

Doc, when hit by the lightning traveled to 1/1/1885.

The car, while it was rediscovered in 1955 by Doc and Marty, traveled back to 9/2/1885. It never time traveled to 1955, it did it the old fashioned way - sitting buried in a cave for a ton of years.

Editing to add: The times should be read from the left, then down the row, then on the right, down the row again. At least that's how the math seems to work for the trilogy.

*I take the cake and dip it into the loving cup. I take a bite.

Thanks so much for the warm welcome everyone.

@orabbit /highfive!

@kinkajou1015 -Sorry for the confusion about the dates... they read as two columns, left first, top to bottom, like a book with the flux capacitor as the binding fold. ... so the dates run
10/26/1985
11/05/1955
11/12/1955
10/26/1985
10/21/2015
THEN
10/26/1985
11/12/1955
01/01/1885
09/02/1885
10/27/1985

I hope that clears it up.

You're both seeing the same image, just reading it differently. The dates go all the way down the first column, then all the way down the second column.

Pull the trigger. You know you want one - and now you know it's correct!

ETA: I'm laughing that all three of us posted at once!

It's only bad science if real science says otherwise. Since (AFAIK) nobody has a working time machine, it's pretty safe to say that if one did exist, it would have to be built into a Delorean, would need a Flux Capacitor, would require 1.21 gigawatts of power, and would only become active at 88mph. Prove me wrong!

Actually, Marty went "back to the future" from 11-12-1955 on the first trip. On the second trip to 1955, he meets 1955 Doc in the street by the clock tower on the evening of the 12th. They then find the Delorean hidden by 1885 Doc and fix it up. This presumably takes some time and he leaves 1955 the second time within a few days of 11-16-1955.
