I think they will have more of a problem with the fact that it is too reminiscent of the DBH shirt.

What is the proper sizes for submission stuff. Shirt Comp and the detail what should their sizes be so it doesn't make them look so bad?

I know it is disappointing, and things are getting stirred up, but at LEAST they did the rejection REALLY early into it, when you have an excellent chance of catching back up.

Sometimes they don't do rejections for the first day or so, right? Maybe he was actually trying to be nice but putting it out there early. I mean, I am sure that most of the people that voted for you earlier will be back on tonight because they are the woot faithful.

edit in here: I remember when your grafeeti shirt was printed there was discussion in that thread that the color of the shirt looked very different from the one people voted for. Maybe they are trying to prevent that in the future? okay REALLY shutting up

On the submission page it says the detail should be 240x240 and the comp should be 600x600.

klswoot wrote:Problems at Spreadshirt. In case anyone is interested, spreadshirt has some pretty strict printing rules. I tried to order a couple of my failed woot designs on their shirts. First, I was told that one of the designs couldn't be printed on the shirt because some of the lines were smaller than 0.06 inches. So, I changed the design.

Now, I'm told that if the design is submitted on a transparency, the background is printed white, so I should change the tshirt color to white. (Not possible for the design in question.) or make sure that the design can be cut around just as if using a pair of scissors.

So, I'm under the impression that they really only want simple, bold designs. They more detailed ones don't seem to be something they can print right now.

Guess I'll try Bountee unless others have a better suggestion.

Yeah - im having problems with spreadshirt too... thier have w2eird restriction on thier vector images, and limit them to 3 unless you pay a premium... then they pulled one of my seuss shirts for possible copyright infringement, and requested a statement on my part defending it.. not sure where thats going.. I didn't know that transparencies were still printed on a white background.. i thought thier DTG printing got around that?

I spent work today (aren't I a good employee) drawing and scanning this, I would appreciate feedback, especially possible shirt colors and if the text is necessary. I still have to figure out how to actually get this onto a shirt template and into a submission format (I downloaded the necessary programs but am feeling unusually dense in figuring them out) ......

It sounds like you're trying to one shirt with plot printing and the other one DTG, right? For the DTG print, you have to completely delete the background color of your shirt and save as a PNG file so that all the background color part is transparent. You can PM me for more help if you like.

Okay, the rectorator has me concerned. I made a design based on my Dad calling socks that fall down, Quitters. Is this WAY too obscure, or is it generally accepted? Urban dictionary backs me up.

Here is the design: When Socks Quit.

Thanksies.. for the record.. i had this thought soon after the derby was announced.. before i saw sokowa's draft posted on the forums, but didnt see it posted on the derby today, so i went along with it anyway.. different style entirely, so i dont feel bad about it, but if sokowa is concerned, let me know and i'll pull it.

Thanks Heartluce. I think it's funny too. I had this picture in my head all day and couldn't wait to get it to paper (or actually sketchbook pro), which worked out very nicely, then I traced it in Illustrator with the pen tool.

Have a good Friday Night ALL.

I am not sure about the gradients . . . however, I like it better without the back ground, so how about this.
