So did AZ not watch any shows as he was growing up, or is he too embarrassed to say?

I thought she was diggin' it, but I was scarring her emotions!

Oooh. I might have to check our local library to see if they have it.

No, silly. AZ grew up before they had invented the TV. You'll have to ask about his favorite radio shows.

I watched the muppets, not as much as my husband, but we watched them. However, I can not watch the Dark Crystal. The main character muppets freak me out, we have it on VHS, but Orc has to watch it when I am not around, just can't do it.

funny that no one has mentioned MASH. I think we sort of skipped some shows in the middle. I was talking to a friend about this, and no one has mentioned any of the shows we watched growing up. lol

No, it just means that you're a young'in.

I've heard of most, and have seen more than half. Most were in re-runs, but that still counts, right? Heck, I even remember TVs before remotes and having to turn the dials to get the tv station. What was it called, UHF channels?

Hey now! you're not that much older than I am. What are dials?

Seriously though, my new TV's have one button on the front of them: a power button.

I've got at least 10 years on you. And I know you're just yankin' my chain about the dials, but I was trying to find a picture of what I remember the TV to be like so I could figure out what the UHF channel thingie was called. This is as close to it as I could find. First you had to turn the tv on, then wait for it to warm up. Then you had to spin the top dial to the UHF setting and then spin the bottom one to the right channel. There weren't many channels to choose from though...

I also remember when we first got cable, we still had to get up and switch the cable box from the A side to the B side to see the other channels.

10 years is a lot closer than most other people here.

It has been a long time since I played with a tv that had dials on it. Had to have been at my grandfather's house. My dad gave him a 52" projection TV not too long ago. It is now at my grandmother's house. Anyway, not even her TV's have dials on it anymore.

I don't think anyone mentioned Miami Vice, I had such a crush on Don Johnson,
and I was impressed that he wore shoes and no socks, guess it didn't take much to turn me on.

I liked his no sock thing too. Those pastel shirts, white pants, blazers and sandals were just waaaaay too cool.
