NotAGirl wrote:thanks for the 9 page essay on originality and subsequent submission of an argyle shirt.

Are you implying that suddenly argyle shirts aren't original? If two pirate argyles can be different, surely a flowergyle is the most unique idea since the blender!

Please vote for a truly unique, not to mention tasteful, design idea!

Eh, the exclamation points are part of the charm. I think it has a chance of being rejected. Personally, I'd wait for the axe though.

Re: The Bugs are Back (Prints on back) RESUB

fun idea, but that bug is going to be huge, isn't it?
personally, I'd position it higher up by the shoulder...

Hmm, just went in for 3 Randoms, when I haven't bought any shirts lately (although still checking frequently) so what are the chances of liking them!?! Oh well, couldn't pass up the mystery!

Cho always makes very detailed, beautiful images. The only problem is I never really see myself wearing any of the shirts. This one is no exception.

Speaking as me and not the voice of woot, I do think it will be rejected. If there's one thing woot always cracks down on it's text/symbols in textless derbies. The inifinity symbol was rejected so I'm certain this will be. That being said, I still voted because I like it. ^_^

PS - Poor flutterbies. T_T;

Re: First Ride

There are lots of things that are right with this design (and I really like how you busted out the boldest colour out there for it, yet made it seem natural), but the design seems to drown itself out, so that the motorcycle element seems lost in the greenery. I'd love to see an unobstructed large-view... it may just be the shirt in front of the larger design that makes it lost to me... but as it looks right now, I think it needs a better balance between the elements.

Black
White
Yellow
Brown
Dark Green
Red

And an excellent use thereof, because it definitely looks like way more... the illusion comes from the line strokes vs. the fills... the less solid area you see, the more the green effects your perception of the colours...

I used to have the same problem. Then I bought one of his shirts and invested in a mirror. Now, my entire life has changed! I skip through my day gleefully, eager for even the quickest glimpse of a spraypainting Alice reflected in a window.

The only problem I have now is that I never want to stop wearing my Cho shirts! It's lucky I have so many of them, otherwise my skin would become grafted to the fabric like those tub o' butter ladies on tv who get stuck to their couches. That would kind of suck, especially since my skin attaching to the cotton might warp the design a bit. And how gross would that be? Ew!

Hey GF... I thought you were making a pillow out of your Alice shirt. No white shirts, you said. It is, honestly, a great design for a pillow, though! If I mine gets 'damaged', I'll probably do that as well.

I know what the poster means though about the wearability of the designs. I bought Alice and Spring Rebirth. Couldn't resist because of the tie-dye offer.

I don't know that I'd buy both Jame's Bears and TG's Bear shirt. So, only one will get my vote this week. I haven't voted on either yet, but I will by the end of the derby once I figure out which I like better.

Love the family component of James' entry. Love the coffee element of TGs (wish there was a female bear too) Too bad, we can't blend them together.
