Yeah, it has kind of a gloomy, Edward Gorey feel to it. I like how the filling is "incomplete."

Wow, snappedoff, this is undoubtedly your best design so far! I look forward to more of your stuff.

-too bad I can't vote for it- what with the smoking issue. ;^)
-not that I'm encouraging anyone else not to vote for it, I just can't.

Thanks for the kind words. I'm not expecting it to get a ton of votes, but I wanted to start participating in the derbies and this is the first one I've had an idea for since I found woot a couple weeks ago.

Shigwarm wrote:I'm glad you like it! I did take several factors into consideration when choosing the colors. At the time of submitting this design, the fog'd shirt colors were brown, grey, grey, and black, I decided I needed an entry to stand out. Plus, it really just looked best on green. Like on money. Brown would have been my second choice. Kind of like a sepia color. Anyways, now I'm just talking too much. Enjoy and keep up the votes!

It looks wonderful on green - it was a great choice. =)

And 'M' might have made more sense. Great design regardless, deserves to be in the fog. Was just curious why 'W'.

I agree on both points. This is definitely the cleanest design of all of them. Now Im off to do a Pac Man shirt using the words from "Lenore".

Just kidding....but I wouldn't be surprised if I saw that at some point this week....

I wouldn't worry about it. I always get confused with the initials for Arizona, Alaska, Arkansas, & Alabama.

No! It's completely different. The other one says "wakka-wakka" with only one "dot". I see no similarity. At all. And that's the truth. No lie. ...

Re: Wakka-wakka!

Okay, you know what? This shirt may be rejected at some point but I still LOVE it. There are a couple other similiar designs that were submitted (well, one parody) but this one is still the best. I mostly like that the words are whole and not cut off to accomodate the shape.

iceberg113 wrote:While I do wish this is how it it would happen, I'm not sure that is an entirely true statement. I'm new to woot, so someone may have already suggested this, but why don't they just keep the designer names hidden until voting closes for that paticular derby? Then favortism wouldn't even have a chance in effecting votes or rejections. It would be totally about the shirts.

If designer names have something to do with the vote numbers, hiding usernames will do little to solve it unless you also ban all the entrants from advertising their work in their signatures. It might get fairly obvious when one person is going around the forums asking for votes.

I don't think the usernames have much to do with it. There are, of course, a few people out there who WON'T vote for a shirt if it's by a particular designer, and here are probably some out there who vote for a designer regardless of quality, but most people will come to this page, vote for some cool stuff and then leave. Most people wouldn't even know that there's all this drama and controversy going on in the comments. =P

Why not a raven with the names of all the Pacman characters? That's bound to be original.... Or Edgar Allen Poe with all the names of different cat breeds?.....or ...
OK, I'll stop

This has more than 6 colors plus the background color. I recommend withdrawing this and redoing it with only 6 colors, so that it won't get rejected.
