I'd love to move, but I'd like to be done with school. I hope eventually, I'll get my Masters in my early 30's, if not 30.. and then be free to go wherever I want. =D hope being the key word.

I came back from the spring break trip and told my kid we were moving to korea. Only sort of joking there. I'd be so happy to move to seoul or japan. I'll be done with my mba in december, so who knows where I'll go? In the meantime, I need a job to pay the bills while I finish up school.

I'd like to work in a professional library.. like a specialized library within a university department. My boyfriend is getting his PhD in math, in the hopes of being a university professor; so that would work well. I'm keen on research, and that would work well in any library environment. I'm not 100% sure exactly what I'd like to do with it, I just feel that out of every degree I've been aiming to get, this one feel right. I only have two more years until I get my BA, so then I'll start panicking about not being 100% =) If I stay at home, I'd like to go to the UIUC.. as-is right now.. I have the grades to get in (woot!) -- I just need my BA -_- They have a GREAT library dept.

Edit: I remember when i first posted on EBW and was telling a little but about myself, people pointed me in your direction, being a librarian and all =)

That would be cool. Academic libraries used to want a second subject masters. Haven't read those types of job notices in a long time. I'm thinking very seriously about retiring. I really like what I do but I like what I do when I'm not at work even better! I've got a couple of projects that I'm committed to finishing but when they are completed I'm out of here! Being paid to not work sounds very nice to me.

UIUC is a great school. If you end up somewhere else make sure the school is ALA accredited. You can do a lot of your MLS online now.

A second subject master? Oy.. this means more school. =/ I goofed off in school when I was 18-21, and then finally got myself in check and I am doing very well. (3.25 gpa isn't too shabby when you think about how mine was probably a 1.something or a .-something at some point in time) I know I can do more school; I've realized that when i try I can do well. But I don't want to be 35 by the time I can get a "real job" l ol.. *sigh* I'll just keep my hopes up, and caring about education. =)

I don't know...can't you take a couple of classes before you get admitted to grad school? It would be worth checking it out!

Second masters deal. I think if you want to work in say the business school library in a University Library that they require an MLS and an MBA. It was that way 30 years ago!
