Is this loosely inspired by the lillian jackson braun mystery series? If so, hilarious.

Also, YOU PEOPLE ARE SO YOUNG!!!!! I expected Edgar to be like early 30s

Re: 1977 - Space is the Place

Launching of Voyager 1 and 2. Test launch/glide of the Space Shuttle Enterprise from the back of a 747. Hints of pop culture (Star Wars and Close Encounters) but done subtly enough that copyright should not be an issue. Hope you like it.

Re: 1978

Oops I forgot to put the reasoning behind my entry in the title:

In 1978 Space Invaders was released ushering in era of video games.
Also the 'space invader' character is unique and not one of the originals from the game.

Re: 1975-micro computer 8800

1975 was the year the Altair 8800 made it's start. Bill Gates and Paul Allen ended up writing Altair Basic for it and formed "Miro-Soft". Who knew this tiny plant would grow so huge?

There is NO text on the shirt, just the 600 px comp. A send up of the moon landing, done in the style of Lunar Lander.

In 1969 the worlds first complete eye transplant was born. I would like to title Eye Have a New Pad. I resubbed in case titles with more than just the year get rejected.

You know what's really dorky is I still remember all of the music from Ocarina of Time. That was one of the games that made me want to go into sound design. <3

I was a 'link to the past' fiend myself... I sometimes hum the music in the shower (can't quite hit some of the high notes yet)!

In the car I hum tetris ;-)

I remember being little and having to beg to get one when I got old enough to have one. God, I think I had a pink one by the time I was able to have one of my own.

Sorry it's so late. Wife's car lost brakes and stranded the fam at a McD's. At least they got food while I picked them up, dropped them off at home, and ran back. Whew!

EDIT: Sorry this doesn't have my name on it, this is SkekTek (on wife's account) - password issues.

Re: 1971 - Mount Etna Erupts

In 1971, Mt. Etna erupted in Sicily, the biggest island off Italy. There were many other important events in the year I was born, my family is Sicilian, so it seemed fitting to focus on Mt. Etna.

I've shown the volcano in the lower corner, with a rough map of Italy and Sicily in the corner diagonally opposite. This is on a red shirt, to further evoke the lava feel.

Re: 1967

1967. In the same year we were gearing up for space flight with Lunar Orbiter 3, Apollo 1, and Apollo 4, the hippie movement exploded with the "Summer of Love" in San Francisco. I'm trying to capture the contrasts with this shirt.

You may want to resubmit with a matching 'Shirt Comp' and 'Design Detail'. It may get rejected if they don't match and I don't see that toothy fish on the shirt.

Good luck!

Re: 1968

Just my 2 cents...
the silhouette loses too much detail. I know the head is hanging down but it looks like he has no head.
