As for this exhibiting signs of intolerance, I don't get that. The rainbow isn't right with too few colors. For it to be a "rainbow of tolerance," it nedds purple, blue, green, yellow, orange, and red. Trust me on this. And since you should trust me of this, I did order one and am not offended in the least. I wouldn't even have thought that if the blurb hadn't have said it. So the chubby unicorn is eating the rainbow, the clouds, the stars. Maybe he has a vitamin deficiency.

who started the idea that this shirt represents intolerance of the pleasantly upbeat community?

the object in the shirt is the fat unicorn, not the rainbow. the rainbow being eaten is not symbolic in any way. stop being so sensitive. if anything, you should be more aware of how selfish it is of you to take an innocent t-shirt and flip it into something negative directed towards you.
