Re: ATTILA THE MOM
This is so great. Man you are talented. I'm a no text person but with such amazing detail I'd buy anyway.
QuigglyPhD wrote:That's awesome, thanks. I've had trouble using live trace with illustrator for some reason. My resub this week I just redrew the entire thing in illustrator and it came out pretty decent. Never thought about using flash to color the pictures with (i've been using photoshop) but it makes sense to keep the image vector-based. Just really getting into this t-shirt thing and I absolutely love the detail in your designs. Keep the good work coming because I love seeing your submissions. Also, good artwork = good t shirt... keep the faith, even if woot members pass on your designs (because I love them).
thanks a bunch dude! your words are very encouraging.
Re: Lady Madonna
I think it would be really hard to ride right after giving birth... Just my 2c

lets get this back in the hotness!

Re: Modern Avian Motherhood
Thanks for all the great comments! Quiggly: This was done in Photoshop.
mihalis aya wrote:I love it, and the only thing that would make it MORE awesome would be no text. Either way, it's hilarious.
tell you guys what, If Attilathemom wants me to get rid of the text then I will resub. the shirt was inspired by her and it is up to her if the text stays or goes.
Re: MBA
This is great. My daughter said, "I would SO get that for you, Mom." Good luck!
Re: Mother's Pride
Cuuuute!
i think the name adds to it.
Re: Mama Bear
Mother-in-law gift?
mihalis aya wrote:She's not leaving them, she's carrying them with her! That's less sad and more exhausting, right?
duh. sorry. thanks for clarifying Mihalis! Definitely less sad and more exhausting, which is motherhood in general. now it's gmv and I'm less sniffly. I love all the details, tgentry - you do great work!
When I became a mother, I told myself I would never, ever wear a shirt that said "#1 Mom" on it...but for this design I would make an exception. Loves it!
Re: Mo-om... he’s squishing me!
I fell in love with the shirt before I ever came in and read the story behind it. I agree with the designer, that the majority of votes have almost certainly come from people who have not even come into this thread. Cats/kittens are very popular and this is a really cute design.
Re: First breath
Too cute chunga boy!
Re: Somebody's got to love them (resub)
Looks great on green! I think your thumbnail selection is more revealing this time too! :-) By the way, I just received the fat unicorn shirt (which is on AA green) in the mail and love the color and the shirt!!:-) Your resumb's GM(re-)V!
Re: Mum's the Word
*sniffle* I love this design. Wish it hadn't been rejected. Could you rework it somehow? Bouquet of mums for mum? or just with a bit of (gasp) text?
Wow, sokowa, I didn't recognize this as yours! You've been busy this weekend! Very cute lions, and I like the contrast on the green shirt.
Re: Encouraging Words
nicely done! Can you write out what words you used? I can't read them in the shirt comp.
Thanks for looking at this entry...I have submitted a newer version...I hope you like it as well or better!

Re: The birth of our greatest leaders began with them
Celebrity likenesses are a no-no, and the mom connection should probably be clarified anyway.

If you like it, Digg it! http://digg.com/arts_culture/Cool_Celtic_Mother_t_shirt

Ya, just a tad different then the usual stuff I do. Doodled this and figured, why not color it up.
...........................Really Pretty!!!
VOTE: Blue Mothers Power
I would totally buy this if it didnt have the text. The picture is awsome and speaks a thousand words!!!
Re: Mother and Child in Chairs
I don't really care for the explanation as it's just too involved to have to think about. Plus some other feelings I won't write here as I'm sure people will care less about them than the first one. However, it's a kick-a work of art -- reminds me a bit of Elliot Hubbard -- that really stands on its own without the explanation. Thus, I give it my vote. Good job!
OH Kitties!! I love Kitties!!!
dsladek wrote:really? Does anyone else feel the same? I like the text but I will resub it without the text if you guys want, let me know what you think.
I would like without text, but I like as is. We'll ignore for now that Attilla is a man's name! ;) Got my vote. Well done!
Oh man if I had a dime for everytime my Mom said it I would be a rich rich girl!!!
mylee712 wrote:With a teddy, the design can tip into cute--and "cute" is good and has done well before with wooters. But without the teddy, the design remains more understated and subtle. And I've thought about it, considered resubmitting, but came to the realization that I'm more interested in the simple and subtle with this one. Thanks to jmseifer for the thought, though! :-)
I agree. It's subtle, and I like that. Good color choices, too.

toe2254 wrote:while it's true that the IDEA isn't original, the artwork is. other than the concept there's absolutely no resemblance between the 2 styles. what about the various "mom tattoo" shirts? those have been done before as well.
Thanks toe. I could'nt have said it better myself. I see people on this site copy ideas that are right next to them on the derby board just because the idea takes off. Woot seems to be ok with these... How many Poe (raven) references did we have to look the week of the "text only" derby?
WAY better on olive, now I could wear this...CUTE! quote]VOTE: Blue Mothers Power [/quote]
Re: Portuguese Mom-of-war
I would wear this shirt! Beautiful and elegant, like my fiance (she's close by so I hope she wanders over and reads this...) Let's get a vote flood going! Iwant to buy 2!
Great characters, really nice lines. Lose the text, and you have another vote.
Re: Pandamommyum!
This is a fantastic design! I really hope it gets printed!
I definitely like this on green better, but I don't really care for the words on it. Keep up the great subs!
Re: Statue of Frigg
that's FRIGG-en cool. /sorry, had to.
This is absolutely stunning!!! I really hope it gets printed.
Re: MAMAAA!!! (on olive)
I love it!!! I would absolutely wear this shirt
Re: Your Eggo Is Preggo
Looks like a 'stache instead of a frown/shocked face. ^_~ Pretty funny though. I laughed.
