So far, on this derby the only ones I've voted for are this one and the Baby Carrots one. I'm not real thrilled with some of the designs, and I generally like the cutie patootie stuff.

Yeah.. that's why I made the very exaggerated imagery (giant flower, hummingbird, etc) in black.. it's big enough that it should be seen, and if not at a distance at least it adds beautiful elements up close. I made the smaller details a light brown and yellow so that they would be more visible. Thank you for the compliments =)

This reminds me of a story. A friend of ours went out to eat with co-workers, and one pair was a couple. Part of the way through their meal, the guy says to the girl, "FEED BABY BIRD LIKE MAMA BIRD DOES!" So the girl takes a bite, chews, and spits it back into the guys mouth.

I saw a couple of those. One was quite nice. That wasn't really the idea behind mine - I just thought of egg babies - part of the Canadian curriculum I guess; I think it's common in the US as well, but with sacks of flour or sugar. Actually, I hear they now use special dolls that pee and cry...

My mom died last year 5 months after her cancer returned. She was the youngest of 5 sisters. I walked in the Seattle 3-Day last year and am walking again this year. Fundraising is the hardest part!
