Most entries in this derby will probably be cute... except for the horribly inappropriate ones. ;)

Actually... I'm not sure if it's clear enough that they're zombies. XP

Zombie mom is very smart. She has lots of brains.

Re: In honor of my Mom

While I would have liked to donate $1000+, I will be donating a decent amount in any case. I would love it if anyone else can help me reach the $1000 that I had hoped.

Good luck everyone.

While I know Zombies, Pirates, Ninjas, and Penguins are somewhat overplayed on this site, I still think this is a cute idea and I had to do it. Please vote!

Re: Resubmit frenzy!!1!! (V 3.0)

So the official rejection reason is that this is a "Resubmission"?

Well, that's a tad bit hypocritical.

The first chair that holds the mother and baby is the traditional wooden rocking chair that my mom used with me and then I used with my daughter. My daughter was born in the summer, so I included a wicker garden chair which my mom used to hold my daughter for the first time. I also included elements of a recliner chair to represent the first time my mom's mom held my daughter. In this way, I wanted the design to embody 3 generations of motherly love shown to a newborn via the chair in which they sat. Design details have an element of Mother nature to them...clouds, earth, water, grass among others. Additionally, a halo and crown adorn the top to show the mother as angelic (like the Virgin Mother) and as the queen or family matriarch. Thank you for your vote.

This shouldn't be on a t-shirt. This should be in an art gallery.

Seriously kls, you're too good.

Another view.

I don't know why it keeps tossing those white marks in - I'm just learning Illustrator and the shirt comp looks perfect in the program, then looks weird when I put it up here. Anyway, this is my last attempt, haaa!

Hooray mythology! I prefer Greek, but that's probably because I was introduced to it at a much younger age. Hestia, anyone? Demeter would also work very well. Hera, if you've got an angry, angry mom.

Re: Despite What Mom Says!

This is for all those times your mom told you to pull up your pants, cover your belly, put on a sweater, comb your hair, etc. etc.

Plus its fun cause it isn't a shirt that only makes sense on mother's day!

Let me know what you think, its my first entry!

derekfilley wrote:I realize you tweaked your design, it's still instantly recongnizable though. I have a problem with top designers who have won multiple times on woot taking designs that have already proven popular and using that as leverage in the derby. It's hard enough for the rest of us as it is to break in to the 'winner's circle' without certain people having the added advantage of a week of free advertising.

The worst part is that I know you guys can be creative and draw. Why take the lazy way out and cheat someone else out of a win?
