this is amazing... i used to love to watch the fireflies as a kid, i laugh now because i see them called all sorts of things - lightning bugs, bulb butts (no kidding)... bottom line is i remember so clearly the way the hot day would cool into the blueness of the night,it's awesome what you have captured! best of luck and i really do hope you win, don't give up if you don't though, your work is obviously intense and creative... :o)

GAAAH! This one is SO much better than so many of the shirts that got a hundred votes or more. It's well-drawn and funny. And if you were wearing this shirt, people would get it. So many of the shirts this week would need the context of "this shirt is about summer" and in some cases the name of the design. This one stands on its own.

Wow. This is quite a design! Unfortunately my folks are already about to disown me for being somewhat of a Japanophile, but I'll totally vote for it!

As an aside regarding the title, "ai" is the Japanese word for "love" - so the title could be read, "Summer Love."

Just thought it was interesting :D

I too would have picked this one up, being a movie junkie and all. Congrats on all the votes but too bad it didn't make it because I would have liked one for the summer.

I love the expression! It makes me laugh each time I see it. I'm not the biggest fan of yellow but I would have bought one.

you should defenitely resubmit this one in the future.
my only suggestion is to remove the sad slouch on the right and replace him with a tomb raider/indy type action character. that would seal the deal for me.

Not that it matters as this is LATE, but just saw your design and ~L*O*V*E~ it-would order many of these for my family. Dolphins in there would also be a favorite as another poster commented, but truly do love this one-unique and wearable, not just collectable or thought-provoking for shock value as many seem to be. Hope you get another chance to submit this one, and soon-perfect for summertime in my boook !
