One of my favorite things about summer is the awesome fruit that comes into season - strawberries being a favorite. Strawberries are dangerous though. The seeds can get stuck in your gums like a ninja star in the face. They’re also really messy, and when you get in a strawberry fight, it looks like blood. =)

Some people like penguins…some like trees… I like anthropomorphic, brightly colored fruit.

Summer is often sunny and mind-numbingly hot, but the season also has plenty of rain. In this pleasant scene, Turtle and Turtle Jr. are going for a midnight walk in the rain. Turtle doesn't want to get wet, but Jr. really loves the rain.

And you know how sun showers are so beautiful? Star showers are too, and they happen frequently in Turtle Land. Did you know that Van Gogh's "Starry Night" is actually a fair representation of the night sky in Turtle Land? Yup. And of course, stargazing is a common summer pastime.

Being Canadian, rain is more summery. It's still snowing in the spring.
