Re: When Life Gives you Lemons.....

Its a well illustrated design, just a rather generic concept. I dont know how many fruit / vegetable designs getting cut up I have seen over the years, but Its been alot.

good luck nevertheless

Re: Palm Tree

For some reason, this shirt screams 'I want to be cool and submit an asphalt shirt'. This design really does not look 'summerish'. This would look much better on yellow or orange. Here it looks like a goth got SAD disorder.

If this had been a woodpecker, you would have totally captured my mornings! Every morning its ratta-tat-tat! Enough already! I can't wait for winter! Sorry, I am one of those winter people, love the cold.:o) This is cool, though. GMV.

I agree with Jaden, but I still voted. Looks great on a comp, let's hope it looks great on a shirt.

Cool shirt, got my vote.
I fear this entry is going to suffer because the thumbnails are so small and it's so much about the detail, and that is a bummer.

Re: The Summer King

You might want to think about removing the license plate or replacing it with a vanity plate type of graphic. It's a nice touch but they may consider it text and reject it on Tuesday (which would be painful, especially if it performs well). The point comes across well even without the license plate. The surf board is a nice touch.

text, as described by woot staff, is anything found on a keyboard.

Let us have peace, let us have life,
Let us escape the cruel night.
Let us have time, let the sun shine,
Let us beware the deadly sign.

The day is coming, Armageddon’s near,
Inferno's coming, can we survive the blitzkrieg.

Let this bombpopalicious shirt win!

Edgar is something of a fan-favorite around here. You can take a look at his past submissions on ShirtDerbyStats.

There's a similarity in that both of you have off-beat styles and color choices, but other than that I think you're both pretty unique.

Good luck on this design, I'm also rooting for some of your submissions at DBH to print

Re: Undulating Starfish

As summer approaches, hordes of us will pack into our cars to wait in traffic jams to camp inches away from other half naked lovelies at the beach. Starfish, or sea stars, are wondrous creatures found on some of our beaches and are an icon of the coastal regions. Here they are, beckoning our stampede...

I only moved out to the midwest six years ago, and the reduction of these beautiful creatures is still sobering; I can only imagine what it's like fo rpeople who've lived out here their lives. Great shirt, love the color.
