Re: The Summer King

I apologize for those who voted/comented on my previous post but I had to delete it.
It seems that the text on the license plate(5UMR K1N6) could cause me trouble so I did remove it from the design.

Re: Coconut Bra

:/ That's really disappointing that you rejected this. I purposely didn't put any hint of "boob" on this shirt knowing how sensitive you are to this. There is absolutely no way this could be construed as offensive, unless you are walking on eggshells. And why, pray tell, do you walk on eggshells like this? My first entry to garner votes quickly, rejected... ugh. So disillusioned.

kidding aside, this is a pretty cool design and a good idea, gj cho.

The dragonfly in this looks very familiar. Did you do something like this in a previous derby, maybe the text or line derby (just guessing based on it's construction) I don't think you stole it or anything, but I was just curious.

lalouque wrote:This should be cattails instead of the red flower. Somehow that red just doesn't belong. IMHO, I've been wrong before.

You know, I agree with you on the cattails now that I'm looking at it (cattails in seed would be cool) But I'm going to say again, the black is going to be lost. If it's hard to see on royal, it's invisible on navy (and the only reason why I know this is due to my Nessie print) and over two thirds of the detail will get lost... mainly the bees and the tips of the grass.

It doesn't look like any I've seen. Just because a general idea has been done before doesn't make it a forgery. ie. pirate shirts don't get rejected just because a pirate shirt has been done before.

Thanks!!!! I'm most excited about the burn and the details in the stick. And for anyone concerned with lots of ink, there isn't really a lot that's layered atop one another. the yellow is cut through the tan and brown (it's actually my bottom most layer) and in the burn area, there is alot that I specifically cut out so the layering looked believable and eliminated a lot of the heaviness to the areas.

By virtue of the fact that it is a bra implies tree ants. It's not so much about being offensive as it is about it not being tasteful.
