As a "glass is half empty" folk, I think this is over-the-top enough that it could come back around to ironic, not to mention done well. What aggravates people like me is when people BELIEVE that stuff... and if you're that gullible, that's not the shirt's fault

Ansharp has been around too long. If she was a new artist from another site with a profitable design and a reason for woot to want to court her in the future, she'd have been restored no sweat.

Bah, this shirt should have come in first. It not being first has me worried, and if it doesn't make it then no woot for me this derby. None of the other designs is one I would consider wearing.

Same for me. I'll buy it if they put it up. If not, I'll probably go another 2-3 weeks without a shirt.woot purchase.

This was by far the best entry this week. In fact it was the only time I actually logged in to vote in many many months. It's a shame it wasn't submitted sooner, I'm sure it would have taken first.

Excellent work on the design. Be sure to resubmit it next time it fits a derby theme - I want one!

I looked it up because I didn't understand it's meaning in the context of this shirt. The only definition that makes any sense is:

Is that what this one is referring to?

I love the design so if it comes up over the weekend, I'm totally buying it. Ironically, I'm wearing my Plan B shirt now hahahaha

Oh noes! Sublimican got the 2nd place Saturday shirt. I have been waiting for the Pica shirt all week. Youbetchucan rose up quickly, but late in the derby. Pica was up in the top 4 early in the derby. I just don't know how this will turn out. The fate is already determined, but I'll have to wait until Sunday. I'll be there waiting at midnight CDT.

Hey everyone,

Thanks for all the kind words. I've noticed many of you have been commenting on yesterday's and today's shirt that you're waiting for mine. I've got to say that it's really touching and I feel quite honoured.

That said, if Youbetchucan makes third (and I really do think it will), I think it would be better if you guys didn't post too many "oh noes!" comments. rg is an amazing artist and his cheery country deserves to print tomorrow as much as the Pica Republic - it probably deserves it more, considering how quickly he rose through ranks!

Whatever happens, I'll make up some sort of list this weekend with the names of the people who have commented positively here, as well as those who have PM'd me. If I set up a store in the future with these old designs, I'll PM you guys so you can give me your money.

I posted "oh noes" earlier on this thread, but not on the other shirt threads, since I'm concerned that the Pica Republic shirt that I want won't be made. It wasn't a reflection on the other shirts' merits. It was just my initial reaction when I checked after midnight ("please please please, click ..."). It would be bad etiquette to discuss other shirts on a particular shirt's thread, unless it was somehow related to the subject. Youbetchucan is a good design, and I even voted for it when it first appeared.

Sigh, so close. I feel like I dated the Pica Republic shirt for a week, getting ready for the big reward at the end, and now it wants to be "just friends".

I just learned about the possibility of a do-over derby, and when it happens, I'm sure a 4th place winner will be in that derby. There has also been an "editor's choice" period in the past where even more entries get printed. So there are multiple chances for Pica Republic to be printed.

Thanks for all the comments and support. I'm honoured to have come in fourth behind three wonderful artists and their equally great designs. And wow, it was a close race.

If I set up a store in the future, I'll PM everyone who has given any indication of interest, be it in the form of a positive comment or PM'd me directly. If you gave me an email, I will email you as well. I'll probably also go through older designs of mine and see if there are others who might want a PM there.

Please keep in mind that, at the earliest, this design will not be available for about two months. Other factors may also cause the date to be pushed back, ranging from the do-over derby to my own laziness in setting up a shop.
