Enjoy!

Does that mean it's a cheesy riff? and if so, is it from a keytar, or just yngwie malmsteen?

I am categorically pro-insulting meme-weariers, so I am categorically pro-this-shirt.

Re: Worm Hole Republic

This is an awesome shirt. I love the design and the weathered look of the print. I kind of like the whole "blue-angels/san diego chargers" color scheme going on.

Part of the Southern Veganesian Isles, the Republic of Okrahoma (Republique de Okrahomme) is a verdant green land with five coastal grottoes. When visiting, wear sunscreen... the locals are nicely browned from years of living there, but us westerners would get fried.

Give me a break. DBH has a rule that says you can't submit an entry to any other site. If you got paid more at DBH why would you submit to woot if you could only choose one? It's not like I don't work hard at both. I just choose to design whatever sounds fun to me for DBH because there aren't any theme restrictions.

Most artists stand to make more money at Woot, actually.

(I have no problem with submitting to multiple sites, though- everyone should, if only to try new things for a new audience. Just wanted to correct that statement, as most DBH winners get only $500 and $250 credit, while Woot winners make a minimum of $1000. A better reason to choose DBH over Woot might be the printing options available, the prestige, or the specific audience they target.)

Re: Tiniland

I'd like to visit there. ;-)

Where will this go on a shirt? Woot likes to see design placements on a shirt comp, and might reject this without one. Might wanna slap the design on a shirt and resubmit!

Thanks. I don't want to make anyone angry, I'm just trying to say that part of why we're all on woot, I hope, is that it's fun to make things and design for people. Sometimes it's not fun for me to make an alphabet or slogan shirt. I've got one I'm working on that's a really time intensive wolf shirt but it wouldn't fit into any of the themes woot puts up. I worked all evening yesterday on my "nowhere" shirt in this derby and it doesn't get a lot of votes. Big deal. It was fun and I thought it was funny. I just like getting feedback so I get better. So to all of you who take the time to discuss what we're doing and support each other, that's awesome. That's why we design.

I'm supposed to be lying down right now because I'm dizzy but...

This should be your first read. There's this as well, but it's definitely secondary.

You definitely can't do transparency. Halftones are ok as long as they're not too small. Gradients are usually bad but from woot's comments they CAN print simple ones. We're not sure what "simple" means though, and gradients haven't been printed yet. It's best to just stay away from them.

Colour-wise, you can use six spot colours + the shirt colour for an unofficial seventh.

Hope that helps!

Lala land, aka the Lala Nation: the place to go when you don't care enough to stay where you are (or awake).
Sure, the Lala Nation may only be a nation of one but it's a choice between here and 2nd period Chemistry. Besides, drawing doodles is way more fun than stoichiometry any day.
