Huh, I actually thought there was less than usual. Apart from last night's HM debacle, nothing really stands out to me drama-wise.

(Then again, for me the Slogan derby was the drama high water mark- it would take a lot of drama to stand out after that mess.)

Yes derby threads. Just recently in the derby comments, and also a great deal in the HM's for last week. And other places too, I think, but I don't remember now.

I just looked at the HM thread and one of the derby-entry-comment threads. I dunno, it seems like the same-ol' same-ol' Derby to me, lots o' sniping about what is or is not within the rules, and whether woot even follows its own rules.

There is a reason why some people hang out in the Cyberpubs instead of the Derby threads besides just being occasionally off-topic.

but sometimes things need to be said. Rules should be enforced the same for everyone. period.

Perhaps, but it's the same endless argument every time, and it looks like none of the people involved in the drama are named Joel, so I must ask is there really a point to it?

Unless and until shwoot staffers are involved, it's just people blowing off steam.

You mean the slogan derby, I think. Blu was close enough to definitely be a tie contender, but in the absence of Irony, Adder might have had a shot as well (there's usually a huge influx of votes on whatever lands in fifth place, totally independent of content or quality- I assume this is from people trying to engineer either a tie or the ouster of their least favorite fogged entries).

Of course, since Irony WAS reinstated, this is all pointless speculation All I know is that Thor lost big and I will remain bitter for all eternity, llo. I think Thor would like it that way.
