CarbonSasquatch wrote:Could you expound a little on the graphic elements? I see a geranium, apple, green orange, artichoke red currant tree. The floating skulls seem out of place, although I guess it has to do with the title.

skulls symbolizing peril or danger with the presence of the apple. Some elements are arbitrary for more of the green / plant life theme.

Lovely! I'm impressed that you used a panda without making it sickeningly cute.
Well-executed.

Ha. Sounds like you're implying that you'll need to be brain damaged before buying this design, but if you voted, it is much appreciated. I do like this design of mine, though I'm not sure I would wear it either.

Maybe I just shouldn't take your comments so seriously - except when you write brilliantly composed arguments for the betterment of the community, of course.

1) Create an image (300 dpi) in black and white, fading from white to black how you want with the Gradient Tool.
2) Convert Image to Grayscale: Image->Mode->Grayscale.
3) Convert Image to Bitmap: Image->Mode->Bitmap.
a) Input should hopefully be 300 dpi or so, have output the same.
b) Select Halftone Screen... as the method
c) Play with hafltone options, without too many lines per inch (4-8 or so).
4) Copy that back onto your image, delete white area, black area, or whatever works.

Thanks alot! That helped a ton. Took some doing, but I think I've got a hang of it.

Thanks I'm hoping the title isn't too distant a reference to it. I was also debating calling it green floyd . . .

You kind of took my advice, and I really really like how it turned out! Very well done from conception to execution.

No problem. I learned how through some random tutorial online that I could have linked if I knew where it was, but I decided it was easier to just type it then find the link. It takes time to decide what works exactly for each time you use it.

I am surprised by the number of votes, since it looks feminine to me. I guess it's not, but I doubt my husband would wear it.

I love this! Too bad it'll probably be rejected for being mean. Some shirts dealing with colorblindness were in the text derby.

Yeah, I wanted to achieve this effect in my current submission where the yellow and blue clouds come together to form the 'greenbow' but I couldn't quite figure it out before I submitted. I just did individual circles :p

nice details though, and nice work creating a plaid.

Wow, I come back from my meetings and I'm in the fog for the first time. Thanks a bunch guys! Glad you like it.

I would go smaller but I'm concerned with the detail of the plaid disappearing with the size. I tried to give it a textural detailing so it'd look more like thread or woven wool. Thanks again. I'm shocked.

i think that's what it's going to come down to... they're both similar because they both use the same parody material, so generally, I'd say there's the chance of it sneaking by, since it does go two different directions. It's the fact that the DBH shirt is so recent that I think will play the biggest part in whether this gets rejected or not.
