I think it's great. If it doesn't get a place here, tell us where you plan to sell it.

Re: Little House on the Hill

Well the first submission I linked earlier as an example finished 19th so it didn't do horrible. Hmm, this is a tough choice. Thing is, when I recenter the shirt in illustrator it still fits within the shirt boundaries:
http://filebeam.com/76105fdf958f00a2680897c25985dcbe.jpg

I think the fact that I utilized the shoulder area makes it seem larger than it really is. In any case, I did already submit the print file to woot and it is within the limitations, hopefully theyll take it.

The rejectionator tends to be finicky about these kind of thing. If it looks like an actual Chinese character, even an ancient one, it might be safer just to resubmit.

Tg, you never were one to criticize others for re-subs and have always been classy, so you have my vote. Someone who runs around acting like they own the joint and tries to run others off won't have mine for sure.

Great shirt design !!!!!!!!!

Shouldn't your vote be based solely on the wearability on the shirt, and not a like/dislike of the designer?

Design Detail - 240x240 JPG 100%
Shirt Comp - 600x600 JPG 100%

Mine looked bad whenever I compressed them, so I stopped.

Great sketch but I am going to be the one who brings up THEME. I don't see how this fits the theme.

Aw crud, BJDezek I didn't see your entry when I submitted mine (same take on the line, just executed differently). If you think it's too similar, I'll take it down.

I vote based on what I would wear as it says "I'd want one". I don't vote for any designer unless I would wear it.

Re: Coming Home

For many, the first sign of home was the light house.

I originally had a complex scene going but I dropped it all and started over with just the light house itself and "painted" this design more than "drew" it (if that makes sense)
Enjoy

I forgot to mention this shirt is perfect for anyone who is into architecture, blue things, anyone who has lived in a house or apartment, and anyone who requires the beating of their heart to live. HA HA HA...you just lost much of the homeless/artificial heart community.

kylemittskus wrote:Great sketch but I am going to be the one who brings up THEME. I don't see how this fits the theme.

Well the theme of "home" is pretty broad. There's the saying "Home is where the heart is" and in that respect I think you can consider "home" being with someone/something that you really love. In this case, it's the boy and his loving friendship with the robot who he wants to be with. Think of him as a homeless orphan who only has the robot.

I was hoping the theme of "home" was prevalent enough in the shirt to not require an explanation but if Woot doesn't see it as relevant enough, they can reject it. Thanks for the concern though. It's very valid.

And anyone have any recommended sites for selling shirts?

Threadless.com is one. Designbyhumans is another although they go for those artsy shirts. Those are the two big ones I know.

First of all, I don't care how most people "carry themselves" as to whether I buy/vote for their shirt. I don't even know people here to have personal grudges. I, however, have to also consider my own humanity, my personal feelings as an artist, and what I consider crossing a line. What I saw in memorysquare's thread last derby crossed that line. Feel free to vote as your conscience/ reason dictates.
