Thanks Narkus, and everyone who left comments. My internet went down right after I submitted this, so I've been pleasantly surprised by all the votes it's getting. Dekonstruct is back AGAIN! (twice in one week so far).

I don't mind getting criticism, more often it leads to better art. With experience one can weed out the good criticism from the bad. However, I think I'm going to save the Elizabethan frame for a different daily idea I had last night when I was pouting over my lost internet.

TY! My grampa was putting a spider out it was hang by its thread adn it broke. It fell on the carpet and grampa leaned over and said he must have the hiccups. He leaned down and said here just tie a knot in it and I'll take you on out. Then we started saying that whenever we were trying to fix things like cars and kept having to go back to fix this and that, it has the hiccups we'll have to tie a knot in it. I'ts very silly but it made me think of this drawing. Im glad you like it.

Re: blak widah

I am not surprised to see such a flagrant design posted. In the internet community, there are always trolls, just as in real life, there are always people we'd love to be able to hit in the face with a large blunt object. I am irked, however, that people are voting for such flagrancy. The only excuse for this would be that many woot voters are 13-year-old boys with intelligence issues. As I suspect this isn't the case, I am ashamed and will be happy when this is rejected on Monday and will no longer be able to accrue these despicable votes.

klswoot wrote:I agree totally. I really like this one. Looks great on the black. Love the feeling of motion that you were able to achieve with the swirls. I agree with the other poster too. I wish the shadow of the upper wing was shown on both sides. But, perhaps this was excluded in order to fit in the bounding box? Or was it to show the same butterfly in a sideways position?

Either way...it's a very beautiful design.

Good luck!

As much as I'd like to say that the asymmetrical nature of the faded wings has some fabulous reasoning behind it...it really was more of a lark on my part. Mostly due to my own, quirky personal preference. That, and the shadow wing was lifted and redrawn from one of my larger pencil pieces, in which I'd forgotten to draw the other side. It's true that it wouldn't fit in the box if the larger wing was on both sides, but it never even occurred to me to try it. In retrospect, I feel a little silly about the whole thing. :\

I also wanted to extend another thanks for all the kindness in the comment boxes-- my heart has been thoroughly warmed. And for all the votes...wow. Imagine my surprise! Thank you all so, so much.

I know what you mean Ansharp. There will always be designs like this when there is no screening in the upload process. The thing that bothers me is that the design is gathering enough votes to actually break into the hotness. That means that another design has been bumped from the extra exposure. Many of the designers put a lot of heart and effort into their designs and the hotness is a valuable source of exposure. It's a bit of a bummer to see this one getting the extra exposure given that it appears to be a personal 'message'. I don't understand the inside joke....I must be missing something. But, it's a bummer to see one of the hotness spots being used for this design.
