Re: (W)Right Angle Neutrality

The thing that is so impressive about this is that even though this is the pixel Derby, this design isn't pixelated. Very clever!

Nice job on the sketchy shading though.

Thanks, Andy! I really don't know how I thought of it... I was washing a bottle after no sleep and thought it would be funny...

Wonderbunny wrote:Is this in the printable area? It looks huge. I like the concept but it is way to big for a t-shirt.

Yes, its in the printable area.. I guess I was just trying to use as many of the "pixels" as possible, but its a little large..

Thanks Infinity. I was afraid that maybe I'd taken the wrong approach with this design. But, I wanted to do something with the squares that seemed a bit modern and smooth. I really am excited that it is getting a bit of attention. Thanks all!

Thanks. I did it with Photoshop Elements, and learned AFTER I was done how to snap a square in place, so it was very tedious. It actually started out to be a sunflower...

Re: Pixel Art Straight from the Brush

I love it. I feel like for these pixelated shirts to be successful shirts (read: wearable) the idea that they are pixelated for a reason has to come into play for the viewer, as it does with this shirt. Great job... should be a popular shirt with the graphic designers around here.

Greatest song ever written about JFK here. NSFW... or children... or anyone who's offended by the idea that JFK might have been a robot... fair warning.

I agree with Heartluce...love the town focus too. Wouldn't it be fun to have a 'mimic the masters' derby? I bet we'd have some fun entries for that one.

Toe! This is really impressive. Just saw it in the other forum too. You did a great job achieving that 'woven rug' feel to the design. Almost expect to see fringe hanging from the bottom.

Hope to see your Windmill for sale tonight at midnight. Good luck!

That's a cool idea for a contest- it would also work for a photoshop contest.

I did change it because it seemed more interesting to do a different view than Van Gogh's. :^)

really? so now we can just blatantly rip off someone elses' art and use it as our own? i understand it may be out of copyright or what-have-you but come on. this is not original art in any way. this is pathetic.

Brown looked nice but was I'm pretty sure it wouldn't have enough contrast when printed. Grass also worked. What were you thinking?
