So I got both Night Shift and the dinosaur one (sorry, I can't remember the name). They were both from the same weekend, and both of them have a fuzzy box-like thing around them. I'm going to wash them tomorrow so hopefully that will take care of the problem.

Is it weird to wear it without washing it first? I didn't know that. :D I layer my tees over long sleeve shirts about 95% of the time so don't really think it's necessary to wash them first as none of it is coming in direct contact w/ skin.

Oh, and I didn't wash mine today. I slept all day instead. Awesome.

Same here. Though I always wash trades before wearing them. I don't know where those dirty wooters have been!

I gotta say, the last thing I want to do is wash my new woot shirt. They never look as good after one wash as they did fresh out of the bag, and if you say thats not true you are not looking close enough because I've been a graphics designer since I was 13, and a gamer (not for the gaming aspect but to be able to tweak the PC for the most perfect image quality) so I've trained myself to notice most things people would never notice. Whoops didn't mean to go off like that but anyways, here is Ovaltina, my goat! Ovaltina, my goat! Ovaltina, my goat!

Some may notice it looks crooked or off to the left, maybe.... I notice anyways but it almost seems like thats how it was meant to be printed, I'll wait to see how others came out before writing to woot. I don't think this warrants any action as it seems like because of the trident it had to go to the left a little more. Here they are:




The second picture has a little more green in it but thats because of the flash and I was so close, no big deal. The first picture is the most accurate color representation of this shirt. I hate taking pictures under yellow lighting from light bulbs but here in New Hampshire its been pitch dark out for some time now and its freakin cold out, so I'll have to settle. Just hate how the lightbulb messes with my color.

I am being punished for debating for 7 months before getting Miss Stereo. I just couldn't decide if I could live with those paint drips and I ordered it on the last day. Does anyone else's look like this? Is it supposed to look like that? None of the other 7 examples upthread are close enough for me to tell. Now I can't get another one

From what I recall the one I got my mom has that as well. I got hers in September. If I hadn't already wrapped it for Christmas I'd double check.

I have Miss Stereo from when it was first offered, and mine definitely does not have that on it. I know it's been reckoned, but I hope you're able to get a different one!

Same, not there on mine and I got mine back in August or September, too.

Dagnabbit. Thanks for the input. I'll write service and see if there's any chance of any extras laying around. I guess I'll be on the look out for when the next round of randoms pop up.

I wasn't looking closely at mine but mine is similar. I didn't notice it as a flaw because I usually don't look THAT closely unless it was pointed out to me. I also got mine printed on the reckoning day. Ah well.

I'm just sad that my Tin: Old Skool randomly got lost and didn't really ship. I got a refund, but I really wanted the shirt.

Ok, so I unwrapped The Madness of Miss Stereo and it does have it, but I'm not sure it's as bad as yours, MH. When I first got the shirt I was like, hmm that's odd and then I started looking harder and the shirt and in my opinion it's just the background light-ish red design coming through for whatever reason. I just assumed that's the way it was meant to be. Especially after looking at the 'mock up' on the sale page.

I bought Miss Stereo the first night it went up for sale, and mine has the same markings that you are asking about. I think it's supposed to look like that.

I see the light red you are talking about but it's the mis-aligned black below and to the right of that spot that is bothering me. I'm sure I won't hear back from CS until after the holiday weekend though. My fingers are still crossed.

The mis-aligned black you speak of is also on my shirt. I think that is supposed to be there too. Honestly, I almost had to get out the magnifying glass to notice it. You must have eagle eyes.

AGrant, that is so cute! I never thought about the kids sizes being good for pets. I bet it'd be pretty easy to alter it some so it fits them even better.

Slightly off topic question (I received Night shift and need to wash it) - what happens if you receive a shirt that has a problem but it's fallen off the reckoning list by the time you receive it?

Let them know and most likely they can get you a replacement. Even though it says "Sold Out" on the page, they almost always have more of the shirt in stock. What do you think goes into Random bags?

I had no idea what went into random bags! I've been on Woot for a while (used to lurk, finally made an account and bought a cheap woot.com thing in Jan 06 and a friend of mine who had the F5 refreshes you shirt told me about shirt, which I had forgotten about and now 4 shirts later here I am).

I was just curious, I don't have a problem (yet!). I only worry because I've heard the American Apparel shirts can sometimes develop holes/funky colors after a wash or couple and I've only washed my shirts (since I'm new) 0-1 times.

Good to know that I don't need to worry and what random bags have in 'em, thanks for a twofer, eHalcyon :p!

I am not sure if the shirt becomes faded or gets holes in it after washing will be able to be returned. This is the reason I always buy 2 shirts if the same if I really really like it. I think if it was defected upon receiving the shirt, only then it can be exchanged or refunded. Hpwever, I am not totalyy positive on this....

Well, if you wash it once and it has holes in it then it's a problem with the shirt. I've only had this happen once before (Banana Republic shirt). I took it back to ask and they said it's not normal and exchanged it. I figure the AA shirts can be made poorly, after all, shirts aren't supposed to disintegrate in the wash!

this looks like the dastardliness of a dirty screen and an inattentive printer, or an apathetic printer, either way that many shirts should not have been sent out with an imperfect print. i would complain, that shirt is too pretty to be flawed.

Just coming on to say the same thing. I washed Night Shift last night, and now that it's dry there's no white residue to be seen. Yay!

I got the bunny chasing the balloon too and it didn't have the box.

If get a shirt with a faint white box on it, wash it. If it does not go away, then I'd contact woot. I got Sudden Death and Night Shift and both of them had the white box. This is the first time out of like 20 woot that had the boxes and I pretty much order only dark colors. After washing both Sudden Death and Night Shift the white box was gone.

Also, for people asking about color fading. I own Angry Day and wear it probably once a week and have not seen any fading or fabric problems. I'm also a bicycle commuter (five days a week all year long - well, unless it is snowing) and Angry day has held up really well. If you are noticing problems I suggest two things: try a mild detergent and hang dry instead of putting shirt in the drier. I don't use the drier for any of my woot shirts and even the dark brown and black shirts still look right.

Hey tgentry, quick question for ya. I received my two nanonauts shirts and I love 'em. I noticed something on both of them that doesn't appear to be on the design I see when I click the link and was wondering if this is a design part or just something that comes up (I assume they sent you a copy of the shirt also ^_^) with printing? The bottom one is just a small line and the top one I was wondering about the little black jagginess and if they were in your design you sent to them?
