Yeah I guess I meant them, not the monkeys.
Re: Mercury through space
Sorry. Been stuck in the boonies with no internet. So it's late like nothing else. Votes for me?
Re: Thunderpanda at rest
Nice!
Re: not your average seahorse
Wowee. This is gorgeous. I've drawn a couple o seahorses, and they looked nowhere this awesome. So many times I see someone draw a cool animal but it doesn't add anything- it's just a well drawn pic of a cool animal. This is a pic of a cool animal that adds to the animal's coolness. (huh?) Anyways, very well done.
Re: Vetruvian Man enters a Marathon...
You are...talking to yourself. o_o Good artists are a little crazy, anyways. =) I like this idea a lot.
I like your style, gmv
Re: Pride
oh wow, that reminds me of a shirt I had when I was four-- and LOVED. You've got my vote.
Re: Line Dancing
neato!
Re: i has a zebracorm
it does look like a whale when it's small... i do enjoy the pun. gmv :D
The style of this shirt is only primitive or childish (the charge being leveled at it by those saying "my kid could draw this" or whatever) if your idea of skill is limited to producing realistic, highly-detailed designs... which is to say, very limited indeed.

well at least you likes it!!!

Yea that makes sense: Punisher: skull:
This is my favourite shirt in the derby.

Thanks! Yay first time in the hotness
Aww, why so late a submission? This is very pretty.

Yes, but only 'cause it's good :D
There can be only one.
Cactupuss wrote:Yeah, i actually experimented with this a while, and without that white line to distinguish it from the background, it looks way worse (especially around the left eye, and hand). no one seemed to like the version without the white line, so i put it back in. I nevefr expected 70+ votes, thanks to everyone that voted!, and thanks for your feedback (^_^)
maybe you should take out the stroke by the hand, so the hand is grabbing the stroke... im bad at explaining, but that way it doesnt seem lilke a complete outline
I thought I already commented on this but I don't see it now, so I guess that I didn't.. I am sorry, too, because I voted for it immediately, and wanted you to know that I, also, think this is done beautifully. Very nice work.
Phllop wrote:I want this one to win so badly
I'd get it
emphyze wrote:maybe you should take out the stroke by the hand, so the hand is grabbing the stroke... im bad at explaining, but that way it doesnt seem lilke a complete outline
Yeah, i tried that too, but when you take out the white, the black border fades into the background, and you left with little stubby white things for fingers =S
wish you'd gotten it in earlier.. it's your style with a little "cutsie" for the average wooter.. gmv
Re: Naturally.
id buy this shirt in a heartbeat
Cactupuss wrote:Yeah, i tried that too, but when you take out the white, the black border fades into the background, and you left with little stubby white things for fingers =S
I think what emphyze meant was that you should have made the white border thicker and smoother, so it looks more like an intended stroke rather than just left-over white from a bad fill job. I like the idea and the execution. Great design Cactupuss - I look forward to seeing more from you!
its Labrinyth!
tigerlillies wrote:Can you tell me some examples of cultures and languages where a balloon is a popular icon for letting go of love or feelings of childhood? I would appreciate it. I don't doubt it, I'm just curious . Also, while there's nothing wrong with bunnies, it's too child-ish for me and doesn't seem childlike. That's just my feeling though.
Best example is the 1956 film called "The Red Balloon" (or Le Ballon rouge, as it's called in France). http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Red_Balloon

Thank you very much Sydney, I appreciate your kind words
I like it, too bad it wasn't submitted earlier.
Whoa! Cool design!
Re: Sunbathing Mermaid
Thanks, everyone, for your votes--I do wish I had more people to thank, though.
Really beautiful, I love it.
Re: End of Sentence
Interestingly, this is basically the shirt that eyeslikesugar wore at the partaay, except this dot is not in an awkward location.

hehehe... No, Its actually something that is very special to my wife and I. Its a little sad and a little funny, but Its not something I'm willing to share with the world of woot. Besides I would hate for people to vote on this because of a sob story.
