Thank you so much! Doesn't seem to be too popular among the tshirt voters, but that's okay. I'll try to submit it elsewhere when the 60 days are up, or offer it in a print/poster form. (Maybe that would be better(?) )

But, thank you so much for the comment. It's really appreciated!

Re: Sodium: The SIlent Killer

With all due respect, if salt was sodium then the parody would not be arguable.

Unfortunately I'm not a chemist nor a good researcher apparently and it appears as you are quite correct. I just thought about all the doctor's saying watch your sodium intake. As such, I accept my pending rejection with great humility.

However, please know that this is not the last we've seen of the salt girl. =D

You're moving quite well right now Jaden. I wouldn't be surprised to see you make a serious move to the top 5 or 6 by tonight or tomorrow at the rate you're moving right now. Patch had a spectacular day of voting yesterday and broke into the fog today. So, you never know! You certainly are steadily burning up the ranks. Congratulations!

noisdois wrote:Both points are very valid, and I agree with you. I wasn't really sure what they meant in the description of the theme when they said that we can "riff on the name," so I figured I would take a shot. If it was actually accruing votes then I can see how it might cause a problem, but it's pretty harmless right now.

I'm just playing devil's advocate here... I did vote for it, and would buy it if it wins!

Re: Oxygen: an element (I swear!)

O2 is still called elemental oxygen. It shouldn't be rejected on the basis that it's a molecule.

My pleasure! I can't watch much more of the voting though. Looks like my design is about to be stepped on by a carbon footprint, drowned by a seaborgium sea creature and then heckled by your psycho! But, it's all good!

There are so many entries I like this week. Robert's going to get a large list of Bestlosers from me on Tuesday. I love way more than 3 of the designs in this derby!

Thank you. I'm off to the beach with the family (constantly being reminded that "summer is almost over"). When I get back I think I will continue on my design and see if I can post late tonight. Wish me luck!

Either that, or it's Steve and Jimmy at one outta control costume party! Go, Steve, Go! Great comp, btw!

Please. C3PO is tinman, scarecrow and cowardly lion all wrapped up into one... Lucas stole liberally from Oz and a dozen other movies to make his own, This is just MGM getting even.

joelterrific wrote:"Anything can go" is a scary way to interpret this, but I do think there is arguably parody here. That said, isn't salt sodium chloride?

Joel, while table salt is sodium cloride, when doctors want you to watch your sodium, they usually tell you to cut down on salt. There are other ways to get sodium in your diet, but they are usually in some form of salt (such as MSG) or a preservative, such as sodium benzoate, and they normally occur in much smaller quantities in the diet.

the numbers??? 80 is the atomic number, and the other 2 symbols are the scientific name for Mercury= Hg besides the droplets of mercury on the top of the hat, I needed a little more to show the element.

Kinda like the design, but the placement? Bottom left? I don't see how that would work well. Also, some sort of text explaining the concept would help.
