earthart wrote:Hello goodedesign,

Thank you for the feedback. I hadn't thought of that. Someone in another thread had mentioned it was almost an ambigram. That's a pleasant "mistake" and something I hadn't thought about when designing it. I may do as you suggest when I retool the design to see if I can get that to work. Looks like maybe I could. Thanks again for your feedback. Take care.

Ambigram... is that what it's called. y'learn something new every day. Well, today I learned 2 things... guess I can take tomorrow off.

I like the idea, the visual needs more "fleshing out."

Re: the Evolution of Writing

I really really really like this shirt. A LOT! I don't exactly know why, but I am into it.

"Champagne is a very kind and friendly thing on a rainy night." -Isak Dinesen

"There are many ways to the recognition of truth; Burgundy is one of them." -Isak Dinesen

I'm not too comfortable with the placement - two (crawly) items on the chest area.

Yeah, I think you would probably have to be a famous person to get away with this shirt in public. It may still be ahead of its time.

Thank you! I love drawing faces - I'm way more comfortable interpreting expressions than working with color and composition, but this whole shirtwoot experience is providing me with some fun exercises in both!

Hey, I am still a pretty green Woot Shirt designer. This design for the "work" derby is just for fun. My goal is to get over 50 votes, never had anything over 15. : (

If there are any suggestions, I love feed back!

Re: Slavery is Bad

I happen to love this shirt, but for most, it is before its time, as you say. Someday in the future, when slavery is a far-removed idea, maybe people won't remember what it was like. Maybe they won't know that slavery is bad. On that day, when one young democrat realizes that slavery is, in fact, bad, he will make a stand, and he will gather an army of enthusiastic youths, and they will order 10,000 of these shirts for their march. This shirts gonna make you rich, son. But it will probably take a while.

Woot will only print on the front OR the back of the shirt...not both on the same shirt.

I really like the style and realism here... it should be getting more attention. *shrug* The style is too interesting and the drawing well done to pass up.

Also.. this is like a perfect picture of every break room I've EVER been in.

Thanks for all the support! I'm happy with the artwork but it just didn't come out as funny as I had hoped. Hopefully next weekend I'll be more inspired funny-wise. Maybe I've been forgetting to take my vitamin funny. OOh! Maybe I should just make one of those super artsy not funny shirts all the kids seem to go for these days. What's the in thing right now? Is it birds or squids? Man I can never keep track these days. Maybe I should hang out by the mall shops so I can catch up on all the latest trends. OOH I KNOW!!! BIRD SQUIDS! THAT'LL BE THE SHIZ-NAT! Ohh I gotta install some fog lights on this iMac right quick!
