Re: Morning Commute

Another great video game inspired design by you. Just in case anyone doesn't remember I wanted to brag about your Pixel Derby design. It was my favorite of that derby (besides mine), but didn't get printed. Looks like this one will make up for it though. Good luck.

uhhuhhuhhuh wrote:I've already entered this, but I've gotten a lot of hassle about the placement being rejectable. I made some changes and cleaned up the artwork a little...smoothed out some rough edges and altered colors a bit. I figure if the first one gets rejected for placement, then this one can take its place. I dunno how it works...but here goes.

Unfortunately, seeing as how it's a holiday weekend, there's a good chance we won't see any real rejections until Tuesday. You should probably choose which one you want to be in the derby and remove the other.

I like it all except that it's white on black. I just can't wear black.

Beside, everyone knows power ties are red or blue.

GravityJMB wrote:Resubmitted without any changes from the one that was rejected earlier today.

Why? Because it WASN'T a direct resubmit, Woot. You should do some fact checking before you reject stuff.

This has already been changed from the original submission. Therefore, I've resubbed it as it was earlier today.

If you voted before, please vote again!

I just find the rejections and the reasons for them fascinating. So, I looked at this version and the one in the home derby, and it took me a minute to see the difference. The cityscape in the background changed, right? Well, it is a change and it probably amounted to a bit of work but perhaps W00t doesn't recognize that as a significant change. I'm gonna keep watching just to see how this turns out.

Great design though, honestly it fits better in this derby than it did in the home derby. It would be a shame if it got kicked.

Yeah the more I look at this shirt, the more I realize that it deserves my vote even if it is on a color that I loathe.

Rejected because: It's really pretty cool, but we don't allow direct resubmissions. Change it up a bit and then resubmit.

I consider what I did "Changing it up a bit"... if I changed much else, it wouldn't be the same concept anymore. I appreciate your support.

I'm beginning to want to join the bitter ranks of Adder. This is a case of simple fact checking. What they asked me to do in the rejection is what was already done. I'm doubting that was even looked at.

Re: Sick Days

I thought gamers would get enjoy this shirt. As I know as well as others, people tend to spend days at work browsing websites of their favorite games, that is if they didn't call in sick to actually play it.

Hope you all enjoy and thanks

Even though you're getting alot of heat for this, you should take it as a compliment that people have taken notice.
I'm with you as far as a broader interpretation of what constitutes work. My only problem is that Asphalt colour in the background. It's eating up part of the design and fails to show the artistry at "work" here.

Re: Workin' Hard

Your equations are wrong. You are calculating the work it would take to lift those objects the distance. In order to calculate the amount of work it takes to press those buttons, you would need to measure the spring constant of the springs holding the buttons up.

Re: There are worse jobs...

See... I saw grocery cart too... but my first job was a grocery store.

BTW- my first entry in the derby this week is "First Jobs Stink" in my signature below...

I never worked at the big W though (hence the "Always")... but I figured many people have, or something similar.

You know my favourite colour is green. Gah, I might have to buy this one... I'm probably going to end up passing on this one the first day and then having to buy it when it's about to get reckoned, like with Ms. Stereo. TT

Assuming it makes it through to the end, of course. Knock on wood!

Congrats on the fog Mito.
