Haven't seen/heard much slide-rule humor lately. I love it though, cool design.

I don't think this is a poo reference...it's more of a symbolic reference to predisposed duties...I mean obligations in the work place. Besides it can't be a dung beetle since they push with their hind legs, right? This piece is completely abstract.

Edit: Is it wrong that I think it would be funny if MST3K reruns Star or Jury Rigger were options?

My 10 year old daughter is of normal size for her age and a women's medium fits her fine, although a bit long...

Re: Soylent Green Corporation

Good idea. My old one said "People are our greatest Resources" but I thought that didn't sound so good either.

If I get some time later, I may change that as well as work on the lettering and spacing.

Thanks for the input.

Re: [url=http://shirt.woot.com/Derby/Entry.aspx?id=21469]

I took this photo of my own mouse, and the whole time creating this image, all I could think about was that one day my mother saw a mouse..."eeek, a mouse!" she screamed as she jumped on top of the washing machine....next words were "shew...shew...go away". That memory makes this shirt worth it in a whole different way!! ENJOY!

Oh, hahah, sometimes an exclamation point is just an exclamation point. It was the moment when the person got their pink slip, which was quite a surprise. Not woot related.

Re: Modern Day Sisyphus

My shirt is based on Greek mythology. Sisyphus was sentenced to push a rock up a hill only to have it roll back down again; therefore never completing his task--which is how work can feel. Thanks for looking and thanks in advance for the vote. Here's a larger, more detailed picture:

And of course, I welcome any and all feedback!

The union: cornerstone of American workers' rights and impetus of labor laws. As I mentioned in the forum, my design spells out UNION in a stylized, unified way with the simple abstract background figures symbolizing a unified (unionized) mass of workers. Strength in numbers. I realize it may be a bit difficult to read and I contemplated closing up the small space between the UN and ON to improve legibility, but decided not to so that all of the letters would be directly connected and thus form one shape (the word is UNION afterall). I preferred the red, white, and blue color scheme to the others I tried. Another thing I was shooting for was a design that could stand on its own outside of the derby theme. I think I was able to do that with the design as UNION carries many meanings, not just in reference to labor unions. I hope you like it. If so, please consider voting for it. If not, I welcome any and all feedback, especially suggestions for improvements to the design. Thanks for checking it out.

doubtful. it has all the votes because it is hilarious and the majority of people can probably relate to doodling during a really boring lecture, meeting, etc.

I am constantly amazed at the amount of useless tasks that get in the way of doing my actual job. It seems obvious to me that things around the office could be streamlined, but they all seem to like it the way it is. Maybe I should have been an efficiency expert?

I decided to resubmit due to a comment that it needed more sticky notes. I was in total agreement, but wanted to get it on here asap. I also added a paperclip! WOOOOO!

Good idea. Here's a closeup.

Distractions- lurker touching you improperly, red stapler, broken copier, donuts, coffee, office flingmance, recycling, leaking water cooler, tetris, sleeping in the office supplies closet, bad revenue graph, (leading to) pink slip, (and possibly) death.

I appreciate what you're saying, but this kind of simple drawing and humor routinely do well on this site. If you think I get votes just because of who I am, all you have to do is look at my entries that don't get votes, of which I've had many. And most of the times those are designs that I pour a lot of time into.
