I love this design SO SO SO much. Then again, I would buy a whole slew of "Angry Day"-style shirts. xD

This is very pretty. I think it would be amazing if the light in the backgroud was popping instead of the tree, though. I still like it.

got it. it's on olive. does it need to be resub'd? didn't even notice that until you said it.

Re: Child of the Corn

Thanks for all the nice comments! However I feel this design will not make it very far in this derby. I took a chance with a funny design this week knowing they don't always get as far, but I still like it. I have a habit of designing shirts that I would want to wear myself rather than going with the type of designs that tend to win a lot. Thanks for giving it some love though!!

I like this design.. it may be just me but I'd absolutely love it if it was offset to one of the sides, I don't know why that just kinda feels better to me.

well, I think it's about 30% too big. They have 2 or 3 screens, but the biggest is 16x20. If the shirt you have it on is a men's XL, then the design measures about 21x26, since it completely covers the width of the bottom of the shirt.

I wouldn't worry too much about it, this is an area that they have been really lax about enforcing, but it really can't print as big as you've shown it. Showing it larger than life seems to work with the voters, too. ;^)

I think you're a t-shirt size math genius. Thanks for checking back and responding. I suppose it would be too big if that's a men's XL. When I was estimating the size I measured on myself (I'm a women's small) and estimated how big it would be on a mens. I might not be very good at guessing. Let's just say it's a men's small in the photo. Eh? Eh?

The quality is way better, but it reminded me alot of this one: http://shirt.woot.com/Derby/Entry.aspx?id=2597

Hope it doesn't get rejected, because it's really well done.
Good luck!

Re: We Are Watching You

I like the idea, sort of an autumn "Green Man", except the eyes are scary. Maybe it's just the orange-ness; I don't know what would have to change to make them less scary. Or maybe it's the effect you wanted.. but I don't do scary.

Re: Falling Leaves

I am by no means an expert. I have yet to get a shirt printed. But....If I were you I would open this file in photoshop or illustrator and draw over it. It is a good idea and good color choice, but In my experience with woot, I've found that the wooters like clean designs for the most part. Just my two cents. Good Luck, and welcome.

Re: Leaf Pattern

No comments? really?
Well, I suppose I'll give it a go. I always appreciate feedback that can help me improve. So, my take on your design is that your design is great and your thumbnail is actually really good, but your shirt comp is lacking. The shirt doesn't really look wearable to me. Perhaps you could try a smaller segment or placement or maybe go the other route and just fill the whole shirt like a plaid or argyle pattern. It seems like your design is kinda in that half way area. Well drawn and colored though. Keep it up.

Re: Autumn Style (Resub)

I resubmitted because it seemed like the thumbnail was not indicative of the design as a whole. Either way, we'll see how this version fares. C&C always appreciated.

Well you pulled it off. I have been thinking of a way to incorporate a realistic skeleton into a woot shirt. The closest I'd come was my grim reaper, but you have taken the game to a who' nutha' level. llo. Great job dude. Keep it up.

Re: We Are Watching You

I like this design a lot. I don't mind orange shirts, but wooters don't go for them very often. Resub on a different color shirt, and I guarantee you will get at least twice the votes.

2x7! That's dreaming big! ;)

I appreciate the advice. Let me try it on a different color...

Edit: I don't know if it's worth it to sub on a different color. I don't think it'll get any more votes. I might as well let it stand as it is...

Yeah, there just seems to be a lot of misunderestimating of the sizing lately. The trouble is that they use a smaller screen on the mens small, so that the shirts all end up looking roughly similar proportionally. No matter how we talk through it, when woot prints the shirt, no-one will get a shirt with it this close to both sides and the bottom and this high toward the neck. If you look at their template, they include a sizing box which is roughly how each shirt, no matter the size, will print.

It does, thank you! I hope it ok to suggest this, but I really like this shirt and just want to help. A lot of designers put a close up of their design in the comp and then just a small shirt to show placement. Also, I think if the thumbnail were to show a part of the design that you really like instead of the full design it might get people to click on it and take a look at the full design.

Nice work, I like the swirl of the leaves.

While this is a pretty standard idea, I really love the execution. The shape of the leaf and the motion of the other leaves is so well rendered, it's very pleasing. If there has to be a "pretty" design, I hope it's this one.

Re: We Are Watching You

Aww, I really love it on the orange. To me it works great on the orange because of the color scheme and am unsure how it'd look without changing up the whole color scheme to work on another shirt color, but I will definitely check it out when nois re-subs.

I love the AA orange shirt (have Oh Burned!!! and WANT The Cake Is A Liar big time) which surprises me because I never had an inkling to wear an orange shirt before I came to shirt.woot.

I think more people should try for prints in this color, this one in particular would look so great layered over a brown long sleeved shirt/turtle neck, or even under a brown jacket.

Ok, enough of the orange brigade.

Once again, Love this shirt!
