Re: Tree Vandals V2
If you voted for version 1, please vote for version 2 so it catches back up to where the first one would have been!
willfxp wrote:I love the art work! It's amazing! But I'm not too sure about the placement. What about something really out there, and place the tree on the bottom left (as we're looking it, not wearing) and have the leaves/butterflies on the back?
interesting however woot won't do a front/back
VOTE VOTE VOTE pls if it gets pass tell me where i can get it
Re: Autumn Jubilee Players
thanks! O by the way this design uses PMs 133,132,127,155 on a brown background.
Re: olive FOOTBALL SEASON
*giggles*. I love football season, too! Sorry, couldn't resist.
mia3mom wrote:yay! still in the fog! I'm' sad that gentry's squirrels fell out of the fog, but glad that the maple leaf butterflies are still flying high.
Still in th fog!, but I think this is going to be one of those weeks where it can drop out quick. Lotsa good competition up there in them fogs
Re: Filtered Light (Green version)
It's a cool idea and execution, but I'd be more inclined to wear it if it was just the deer looking at the tree.
Re: the season of change
Glad to see this in the fog where it belongs. Here's hoping it stays there throughout the week and makes it to print.
smj710 wrote:I like the design a lot.
Thanks! This is my first submission ever to a shirt.woot derby. I know it's pretty simple, but I've got to start somewhere.
Thanks for the votes!! this is my first time so I still figuring out how to submit....thanks guys!
Re: Summer ends with I am an un-original person
Fantastic. It reminds me of Family Guy how whenever anybody falls down and gets knocked out (which happens often) their leg is always bent like this. I love it.

casey7725 wrote:thanks and it is a leaf that fell off a tree on a heather gray shirt
*giggles*, yeah the leaf part was obvious; what i intended to say was that i'm not sure what it is about the style i love, but i do. poor grammar on my part
Andy47240 wrote:I like this version better. I voted again.
Thanks, Andy. And thanks for commenting on the other one, too. It was very helpful.
Thdudeabides wrote:Please help me understand this. I don't get it. It's cool looking, but I foresee comments such as "hey nice shirt, what the @#LL does it mean?" and my response "I dunno, it's cool looking." Help! If I get clarification I will totally vote for it.
what do shirts like "gettin' lucky in kentucky" mean? What do any shirts REALLY mean? They are clothes. You think ones purtty, then you wear it. SIMPLE!
Re: Autumn means Hoodies
I really like this one. I like your faceless style.
mwm8180 wrote:thanks for the support! slow and steady is what wins the derby's, thats how GROW! won and penguin got 5th! hope we make it!
i just realized i wrote frakkin hahah but yeah, this is distinctive and very wearable unlike some in the fog which are awesome designs, just not tshirt-able imo
Re: Autumn = Embarrassment
Well done! This design has only confirmed my suspicions that evergreens are indeed the smug jerks of the plant world. Bravo!
BootsBoots wrote:I hate when the filter changes my "h a h a" to a giggle. I am not a giggler. I swear.
same here!! h a h a doesnt sound like a giggle to me, h e h e does though =) back on topic: this is cute design!! =) I want to jump in that pile of leaves!!
daaave33 wrote:Don't forget to make a shirt comp. You should re-sub with one.
thanks for the tip...i made some changes and resubed it with the shirt
Re: Digital Tree
I changed a few things...vote for me!
Janeenie32 wrote:Love the colors!!

Re: Maple Leaf Giraffe
This needs to go back in the FOG!!
Great design. I love hoodies and so does my dog! GMV! Just thought I'd share my dogs love of hoodies.
Re: Extreme Acorn Sports
YES!!! I would so buy this!
no deeper meaning, no subtle story, just a design that i liked, and that i thought looked sweet. if you NEED a deeper meaning i can make something up for you though. ... ... ok lets see... ... ... the circle w/ lines at the bottom is a commit and the winds caused by its impact are destroying the earth and killing everything, so its 'after the fall' of the earth... that good for you? (haven't bull s**ted an excuse like that since the crits in school! llo)
Re: Tea Leaves
I would absolutely wear this. Nice style. Nice colors. The leaves look a little bit like lungs, especially with their placement on the shirt. I'm pretty sure this was unintentional, but I like that too

sorry, didn't mean to come off as snarky. ^_^
Very cute design.I only wish that the graphic were a tad larger. I Think some folks may enjoy the smaller graphic though. Well done either way.
Re: Leaf Paint
On another note: CGS!! I can't wait to get my Hibiscus shirt in the mail!!!
JadenKale wrote:Syd, I have to disagree with you as well on this one. When I think of Autumn, I don't think of fish. If I'm asked that same question in Spring or Summer, I may say just the opposite (even where I live, I can relate fish to Winter... doesn't mean that's an appeal for me nor would it be koi) Tossing leaves atop 3 koi (be it well designed, or not) and saying it's a fall design, isn't going to get a vote from me. I'm not arguing their ability to create the design. I'm being asked to vote on a piece that best represents the Autumn theme, and with so many other creative pieces that, in my opinion, are exquisitely done, this just doesn't make the cut. There is going to always be complaints based on subject matter, because subject matter is the whole reason why we vote! Otherwise, the derby would be a free for all from week to week.
I am sorry if my irritation caused me to be unclear. Having someone complain that the design does not fit the theme IS a valid complaint. But having someone complain simply because it is "Another" Koi (Or tree, or bird, or whatever) shirt is what is getting to me. If I missed that the person was complaining that it was not theme consistent, I truly apologize. I thought the person was simply basically saying "Oh no, not another Koi shirt'.
Re: The Squirrelnal Equinox
I LOVE this shirt! It is beautifully done and very cute!! I will sooo buy one when they go up for sale!
Re: Bird Brained
Really well done! I don't want to simply repeat what everyone else is saying, but they're right :D Good luck!!
Re: Graphical Autumn
I like the non traditional fall colors - and I REALLY like the texture feeling you have in the background! GMV!
Andy47240 wrote:The stitching on the frist one didn't show like I had hoped, so I wanted to revise it. I appreciate your vote or consideration.
What color is the background? In the picture it looks more brown, but the shirt to the side looks black. I like this stitching, so I hope it does well for you!
tgentry wrote:I think this is a Japanese Maple leaf myself. A marijuana leaf is slightly straighter near the base, while a JM leaf has more of a curve to it. Still, looking at it from Woot's side, they look so much alike there's really no way they would print this, at least not with the leaf so prominently featured.
I can understand Woots position, but I think there was a better way to word it then "no pot shirts". Especially when that was not the intent. Sensorship can be a tricky thing when it comes to art. We have all seen classic works of art covered with fig leaves, or removed from galleries. I don't see this as a problem with the artists, but of underlying issues with a few. A leaf is God's work, no matter how it looks. But as a natural resources biologist (in my real job) this was NOT the case of putting lipstick on a pig. It never was a pot shirt.
Re: Mine...Mine....Mine....
Awwwwww.... he's cute!!
Re: Autumn Sky V.2
Very nice feel to it. I look at it and get the feeling of an impending autumn storm approaching.
dekonstruct wrote:Perfect for those that want someone to lunge at their chest with their mouth open.
I hadn't thought of that at first. but now that you mention it..... I really like how the colors play well together, and it definitely looks like the apples are floating and bobbing!
