You are too kind I love the response this shirt has gotten. It is actually my favorite of my designs because it is so different. Sadly, I may have to pimp it on some other shirt website. Any suggestions? I'm so new to this community, I'm kinda lost!

I agree with Jaden on this. I think your comp does not show the shirt how it will appear. The one posted in Woot's comp is how it will appear. I think it is misleading to the voter to say otherwise. Don't get me wrong, I like the design a lot and almost voted for it except the red on green screams Christmas to me and I don't care for holiday shirts at all (seasonal is fine but don't care for holiday). I also loved the movie so I was happy to see a design using it. But that doesn't change the fact that your original comp is a little misleading as the design will not print that big and posting that it will not look as you have it appear on the woot template is also misleading.

Beautiful design. I love the movie, too. And green is great! I see nothing phallic in this. Kinda strange that someone would. As for being boyish...maybe, but who cares? I wouldn't want to wear a "girly" tiger/dragon sketch. I hope you win! This is my favorite of the derby!

Until then, are we kept in the dark as to what it would actually look like? I like the art, but the two placement options are freaking me out.

how is it nearing the end of the derby and this things still isn't pulled?

This is good design, but it's so irrelevant to its alleged subject material that it could very well have been made before this derby.

It's a neat idea, but I find the colors to clash pretty badly.. and I definitely wouldn't wear it. Sorry. Maybe with a smaller design and better color choice.

Re: Inspired by Lord of the Rings

Ugh, it's bullsh it that this was rejected..and it's even bullshittier that woot would prevent the artist from using his or her own creation for 2 months, when they obviously don't appreciate it.

woot isn't as nice and fuzzy as we all like to think they are. their continued partnership with eCost is further proof.

I could not agree more. people are gonna vote for what they like and wanna wear so this will remain at the top whether it meets criteria or not, that is where woot should step in... some of the rejected ones were rejected for less than this...,

also, i disagree with his "interpretation" of the title.

All the other top designs GMV but not this one. period.

Only thing that could have made it better would perhaps be a lower placement. Other than that though I like it okay

Re: Inspired by The Goldminer's Daughter

It is actually an awesome design. Unfortunately, this contest is about *movies* not books. Have you considered re-sub w/a coal-centric color schema? Maybe black on white or gray or charcoal? Throw in some smudges around the periphery... PRESTO! You're back in the game.

I really like your design, I thought you were a genius when I first saw it. It vacuums that the pattern type styles (I'm not sure what the technical term would be) do better than the more illustrative designs these days. Got my vote!

Hey, it replaces the word s*u*c*k*s with vacuums. What's the deal with that.
