Re: Inspired by Soul Music ( Discworld)

Love the colors, but gets my vote purely for being a discworld book. What makes this particularly awesome is that it looks like a really frickin cool shirt even without knowing anything about the derby or derby theme or woot.

AAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH........ whatever.

The Narnia books pioneered an entire genre where kids travel through some object or place (wardrobe, treehouse, dragonscale, enchanted cave, medicine cabinet, head trauma) to a magical land where they learn life lessons and become more grown up without losing their special belief in magic. While C.S.Lewis may have created the worst genre ever, you have to respect the books.

Wow, such hurtful language and I don't even know you. Don't be all upset because Obama is in office and not another stinkin Republican. AND you probably voted for Bush both terms, which doesn't say a whole lot about your character. But lets not get too political. It's just a joke, a bit of humor. Lighten up ol' chap! (That would be your que to remove your head out of your arse.) I don't go around bashin other people's artwork and humor despite my own ideals. Should try and work on those people skills, maybe turn the computer off for a bit and get some fresh air for once.

Re: Inspired by Alice In Wonderland

This is a cool design! However, woot only prints 6 solid colors, and I count at least 10 here. Also, the idea for this derby is to re-interpret the "Title". Using content from the book that is not a part of the title, is also grounds for rejection.

I'm not trying to be mean. Hopefully this comes across as helpful so you'll be sure to be safe from rejection on your next entry.

Re: Inspired by How to Draw 101 Animals

Regardless of any factual debate about the flaws or merits of a design, some people just don't like the design. Getting into a back-and-forth debate with them about why it is good or bad is not going to change their opinion.

I respect the artist's skills and integrity and I probably would have also responded to any criticism, particularly if it was unwarranted. But I think after one or two posts I would have let it go. Ultimately, the work speaks for itself; it gets votes or not and gets printed or not.

BTW, I think it's a great shirt.

Re: Inspired by the Call of the Wild

Beautiful design. I love the woman, she is quite striking--breath taking even. I also love the elvish glyphs, though apparently there have been mixed reviews about this. It's not wholly in theme with the movie, but it appeals to me and that's what ultimately makes me buy shirts!

I love flowing things, so I don't care if I have 20 shirts with some kind of flowing thing into another. It's a style pure and simple and there are tons of us out here who like it.

I do wonder how the colors are going to show up on the asphalt shirt, but hey I like ghost flames on cars too, so subtle works for me. I hope it wins so I can see for myself how it all works out!

Again, beautful. I'll be buying at least two if it makes it to the top!

2. Not on a shirt comp.
3. Copied and pasted clipart.
4. Photo (woot does not print photos).
